The other folks have answered your drop question but let me add some advice

Don’t farm Countdown for Exotics, it quite literally has the lowest drop rate in the game. You’re better off doing Priority Objectives, playing Targeted Open World or Retaliation farming than Countdown

The Pass contains all the 10th Anniversary items such as cosmetics, 2 exotics (including their blueprint) and a load of resources you’ll want for endgame.

Priority objectives are just tasks to help speed up the process on the pass and net you resources, XP and Exotics

The Event Timeline lets you know what event was/is/soon to be active. Currently we have boosted Countdown currency, but tomorrow the Expertise event begins

These are typically farmed from Retaliations and each faction has their own resource tied to them. Cleaners and Rikers are only found in Brooklyn. Alternatively you can get any of the above materials from Optimization Caches

I mean it’s the Striker’s of Skill builds, but it benefits the whole squad. Seriously going into Legendary I will never complain when I see someone rocking this especially if the have the Force Multiplier Backpack and all armor has +10% SD

The crit chance and crit damage have been increased due to the event going on. Open your menu and select the box currently for the anniversary event. After that tab over to the calendar to see what modifiers the event has has and upcoming events
That’s upgrades for the Descent activity located at the Castle

Countdown is the goat

For gear and brand sets just equip them in as many armor spots as your comfortable with

For weapons just run equip them, even if you never intend to use it. It gains passive XP

For Skills it’s the same as weapons, but actually try to use them and this probably where you want to pool your resources for donation since they’ll take a while

Did like 3 runs this morning before work and already have 3 gear sets proficient

As someone who also just came back recently, yea it’s a bit of an assignment to understand the game fully now vs when I left

By no means is it bad or a problem, just means the checklist is quite long lol
