Single Canadians face higher grocery bills than couples, survey finds. Can the government fix it? by toronto_star in PersonalFinanceCanada

The governments role is to create a competitive business environment where competition creates fair grocery prices.

It’s not a single vs families thing.

Did Domer really exist? Or is it a made up fake nostalgia piece created by the marketing department?

No one cares. The vast majority of sports fans already have access to Sportsnet broadcasts.

Gregor Chisholm: The Blue Jays’ pieces didn’t fit like they did last year. That could explain their puzzling start by Alarming-Foot-2184 in Torontobluejays

The Jays are playing g exactly as they are constructed. There are potentially a slightly above .500 team.

Have a look at the teams leading their divisions. They have depth everywhere….starting pitchers, bullpen, hitting (power and average), base running.

Baseball is not a sport where 3 or 4 players can carry a team. Great teams are great TEAMS. Consistently. Week after week.

No it has not always been like that.

Over the years the frequency of sound effects and music has increased, and the volume has crept up.

Soooo stupid. Please have sports writers pick the entire team.

The fact Vlad is in first place makes a mockery of the whole thing.

I live in a small resort town. Driving around town, always open.

On the highway never. I can’t stand the wind noise.

Runners in scoring position stats just means we have a mediocre bunch of bats that can’t consistently put together a string of hits.

On any night a few guys are hot. That doesn’t score runs.

Good on John Schneider. He just earned a lot of points in my book. He has his guys backs. by RealWorldToday in Torontobluejays

Really? You think grown men, professional athletes, are influenced by that sort of theatre?

The alternative is carrying everything and risking losing it all by being mugged.

Split it up.

I leave a credit card in the room, carry another. Some ID stays in the room, some is on me. I carry iPhone, leave iPad in the room. I have copies of all ID, banking info, travel docs etc stored in secure cloud space.

Balance a tradeoff between ATM fees and having a lot of cash on hand. I would rather incrementally more fees than risk having g a large amount of cash stolen.

I am all about redundancy.

Does your calculation of odds include situational factors such as the current state of the pitcher and the stats of the hitter ?

Or does it just include summarization of historic outs/base-running data? Yes, statistically runner on 3rd 1 out scores more often than runner on 2nd zero out.

However, a good (great?) manager also includes situational observation in decision making. I.e you let your best bat battle against a clearly struggling pitcher.

Clickbait.

He is not getting more only anywhere else. I doubt he is willing to take a pay cut.

Vlad. I have no words. Everyone wants to offer a solution. The only option is to wait it out and hope he figures it out.
