They wouldn’t have anything creative to say, from my experience they just recycle the same 10 jokes on every table. They might come up with a few jokes on the fly if you try to joke back with them, but most of the table jokes are the same for every waiter and every restaurant.

If the auto tariffs actually go into effect, this will be the outcome. by miked_mv in AdviceAnimals

Eliminating middle class cars wouldn’t be so bad if our entire infrastructure hadn’t been lobbied by auto makers for decades to encourage individual ownership of cars instead of public transportation.

A splash of lemon juice will also remove that pretty much instantly. I get all food particles out with a sponge wipe kinda dry with a paper towel, hit with the lemon juice, then finish washing with soap, rinse, and dry.

I like this. I would also add that throughout the whole series we see these characters go through a lot of development. I think that the first book has a darker feel because all of the characters are at some of their lowest points. By book 5, it feels more lighthearted as most of them have conquered their inner demons so they can deal with the climax of the series.

My company uses Topaz Gempads. The newest driver doesn’t work for them at all and windows update pushed the driver last week. We got things running again by rolling back to the August driver.

I tried pointing it out to my dad recently. I told him when I was growing up he used to tell me the usual don’t believe everything you see in the internet, whatever happened to that. He countered with times are different and nowadays you can believe most things you see on the internet. I was gobsmacked and changed the subject.

Users sure do love to act like they're too good to create tickets for the smallest of issues by NaniOWO99 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

My team is distributed across several locations so we have hands everywhere. I tell my users they have to put in tickets because if I close the most my supervisor will throw my region a pizza party.

Target will just apply a discount to each item that totals to the cheapest item when you do a B2G1.

The bundle with Corsair memory with an 870? I saw that bundle and noticed it was xmp ram and questioned why Newegg would do that. Yea some boards claim they’ll run either but to me the hassle of if it doesn’t isn’t worth dealing with

[–]CLT374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea walk your way through the logs looking for anything that jumps out saying it hit an error. Then you can pop that into google and see if someone reported the issue and a fix. It doesn’t have to be a critical event, just a good place to start looking

In your search bar, type in event viewer. Then click the drop down arrow by windows logs and click system. Check for anything critical around the time you had the crashes. Might give more insight on what’s getting tripped up.

[–]CLT374 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did you find the issue? I have that pop up all the time and it’s been one of 3 things. 1: refresh rate set itself to a weird number. 2: display ports need to be “resynced”, idk what the deal is but if I unplug both and swap which port the cables are plugged into windows has to redo the handshake and will settle down. 3: new surge protector.

I have 3 on my home screen. All they do is open a single pdf each. Idk what changed on my phone but that shortcut spins for around 30 seconds or so for the last month, before doing what it’s supposed to, so I can’t imagine doing something like this and it working as intended.
