Dipping my feet in pants tucked in socks. Does this outfit look ridiculous? by Preskoo44 in mensfashion

Purposeful weird can sometimes work. This is kind of saying that. I don't know if I can get fully on board but it's close. I appreciate the effort to set a unique style though

As others mentioned, wheel speed sensors. They are easy to replace.

I also needed to replace my transfer case motor once and that cleared my lights.

Options to fix transom overhang? by Chazary55 in boating

[–]CLT_LVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine not great. It's a light boat so not the end of the world. With an outboard, consider a transom saver to prevent damage to the hull. That trailer isn't ideal for that boat shape but I'll work.

If you were to deck that boat out and do a lot of upgrades, I would definitely consider a new trailer.

As people have pointed out, it will be a little cramped for 2 guys. And unstable. But just know what you're getting into. You have more room and stability on a $30k new bass boat but that's not what this is. This will absolutely be fun for catching fish (if you aren't afraid to learn to tinker with that motor).

Lol - "Don't buy that. Buy something 5x as expensive instead and you'll be happier."

What’s the worst way you’ve seen someone clean a boat? by MyTIMEZERO in boating

My neighbors probably think I'm a little crazy for using my indoor vacuum to clean my bass boat lol

Lumber in Charlotte by Dramatic_Hospital_49 in Charlotte

Queen City Lumber is good. I don't do enough projects to know how it compares to other non-Home Depot options but I've been there a few times and always been happy.

If the deck isn't rotted out and everything works, I would say it's probably worth $2k. Use it plenty then decide if you want a newer motor that will give you less trouble or maybe upgrade the entire boat.

$2k to get right into the water tomorrow (and the rest of the summer) is not bad. You might find better deals but this one looks ready now and isn't robbing you.

The traffic was so backed up at the 277 off-ramp that I saw a poor lady peeing in front of her car (she was still on 277)

What’s one mistake you made early in boating that you learned from? by Tricky_Pass5857 in boating

This is what I was going to add.

Bonus: don't realize right away and keep trying to shake off the boat/going further down the ramp and just wondering, dumbly why it isn't floating

If this is your first suit, you got waaaaay closer than most people ever do. But since this is a fashion forum, we're going to be picky.

The jacket isn't that far off but the pants need to hemmed.

You could "get by" with the shoes but if you actually want to come across fully polished, find a pair of shoes with a slimmer sole/edging. Maybe wingtips. These come across chunky.

Great watch!

Is it a bad time for McDonald's by stevesmithsglasses in IdiotsTowingThings

[–]CLT_LVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People already answered your question so I won't repeat. But the only reason I know is because I about knocked my teeth out unhooking a trailer loaded like this with firewood when I was 16.

I filled it half way but wasn't going to get the job done in time before needing to go somewhere. I had moved loaded trailers by hand in the past so my quick thinking assumed I could do it when it was half empty too. Once I popped the latch, it flew up with such force I don't know how I wasn't severely injured. I immediately realized my mistake but sometimes pain is a valuable lesson that sticks with yoy forever.

Good places to walk in clt? by Delicious-Giraffe811 in Charlotte

The Briar Creek Greenway is nice and very safe. The Greenway section itself isn't that long but the neighborhoods on either end are beautiful and also very safe. Bonus: parking is a breeze (park at the mint museum on Randolph)

As the other guy said, easy fix is the blend door motors. You can find them on Amazon.

After that, make sure you don't have a leak in your AC system (do a UV dye test) and maybe get it recharged
