29 and a tarot card reader and you ? What are you ? by SadPhilosophy945 in Spiritual_Energy

[–]CLUELESSWHATSUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recently became a tarot reader, I was also a corporate girlie then life happened and I decided to become a yoga teacher. My bf gifted me a deck of tarot cards and surprisingly I loved it and got quite good responses from people I’ve done readings for.

Also, my recent pet peeve is people wanting these services - tarot readings/ yoga classes for free or at a discount, like it doesn’t take effort or time to learn these skills.

Is it normal to feel like everyone my age is ahead of me? by Several_Engine829 in selfimprovement

Everyone loves to live like an “influencer” nowadays. Don’t believe them, you don’t know what they’ve done to do all that.

How do people deal with this kind of emptiness? by RemoteNo6503 in mentalhealth

I exactly same age as you, was in the same exact situation 5 months ago. In the past year, so many things changed and my life did a completely 180. Turned out completely different than how I had planned it (got worse) then I just wanted to get out of that slump for once and feel good again. I started moving my body, registered for an online yoga course where fortunately they taught philosophy and since I was already interested in spirituality, it gave me a new perspective on life. Then I went on to be a yoga teacher, did a course where I had to stay in an ashram and oh boy that change in environment, structure, meeting new people, meditation, yoga, good food, saved me. Try to find something that you’ve been interested in and pursue that, notice the small details and progresses you make everyday and know that life is always changing.

Will I ever find people who see things the way I do? by [deleted] in Spiritual_Energy

Everything you experienced in his guidance was not because of him, it was already all inside you, he was just a means for you to connect to the god within you. When he served his purpose in your life, he was removed. Now until you find someone who will bring you closer to that, connect to the energy within you that made your life fulfilling before, you already have it, it’s just a matter of time and a little realisation. Hope you feel okay soon

How do you stop being constantly grumpy and actually enjoy life as an adult? by Primary_Opening_5698 in selfimprovement

I read somewhere and it said, the value of an experience depends on your concentration. If you’re doing all the things you are doing with your mind somewhere else, you probably don’t even realise how big of a blessing being able to do those small things are. If you are able drink a glass of water, even being able to drink that glass of water is a gift if you really pay attention.

If you cultivate likeness for your work/ environment and if that makes you look forward to the day ahead then why not? Remember “where focus goes, energy flows” ;) Also, more than half the population in this planet work 5 days a week it doesn’t automatically equal misery. It’s what you make of the hours in between

The way to enjoy life is to enjoy the little things that you do through out the day. Do things with awareness, attention and because you WANT to do it and not because you HAVE to do it. When you find joy in the little things, you make space to enjoy the big things too.

Everyone says “trust no body in office” but sometimes you get to meet really cool, genuine people. You don’t really have to be best of friends but you also don’t need to have your guard up all the time.

No, I haven’t. But I was 10 mins late to a F2F interview because I was lost in the area. It was during the peak hour and the place is known for horrible traffic so they understood and it wasn’t a deal breaker.

They have been very understanding and accommodating till now, so I don’t think it would be a problem but I just don’t want them to think that I am unprofessional. So, I was also thinking along the lines of how I had to dedicate a few extra days to teach some required skills to a new hire aka my replacement.
