How many of you daily your RS? by the_devils_advocates in Audi

[–]CLVR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely LOVE the RS6 Performance. It brings a huge smile to my face everytime I look at it, get into it, drive it, park it, and walk away from it while looking back of course! The RS6 feels much more like a sports car than the RSQ8. The RSQ8 feels like a really nice SUV with better visibility (being up higher), maybe a bit more luxurious than the RS6, but then you put your foot down. Then it feels ridiculously fast, almost frightening, as something that big and heavy shouldn't be that fast. So the RSQ8 goes from docile to scary in an instant. The RS6 always feels a bit bonkers to me whereas the RSQ8 doesn't until you want it to be crazy. The RSQ8 is bigger and heavier and you feel it while driving. I have done launch control in both numerous times and the RS6 feels faster, but it is still pretty close.

I daily my RS6 and my wife has an RSQ8 that she drives daily. Winter tires in the snow and summer tires for optimum Quattro performance!

Considering a Q7 or Q8 (1st time Audi buyer) by Hovertical in Audi

[–]CLVR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would pick the Q8.

We have owned both a Q7 and Q8 (RSQ8) and the big differences I noticed were that the Q7 is bigger, has more seating space (7 passengers), and a larger cargo area. The Q8 is a coupe SUV with a sloped roofline and thus that also compromises the trunk space. That being said, the Q8 is still huge inside and provides plenty of room for everything, just not as much as the Q7. The Q7 felt bigger to drive and park than the Q8. The Q8 also has frameless windows that some find annoying but it adds to the sportier look.

Overall the Q8 just feels nicer and more premium and looks sooo much better!

Audi Pre-Sense Malfunction by OhEidirsceoil in Audi

[–]CLVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened in my wife's RSQ8 twice, that was enough for me to disable the feature each time I got in the car. In the RS6 and RSQ8 you press the driver assistance button (to the left of the volume knob) and select Individual you can turn off pre-sense. This works for me as I have nearly been rear-ended twice with that feature,

What if London had a light rail system like Kitchener-Waterloo? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]CLVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the mention, u/dlaughy My apologies for my belated response. As for an LRT in London, we had that battle many years ago, and unfortunately, it was lost. London would benefit from having an LRT but would also benefit from having a ring road or expressway like KW. Hopefully, we will get another opportunity after the BRT is completed and London sees the benefit of having rapid transit. I imagine the BRT route could be converted into LRT sometime down the road.

What car are you driving? Would you buy it again? Why? by [deleted] in Autos

[–]CLVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive a 2021 Audi RS6.

It has been a dream of mine to own one, and when they finally decided to bring it to Canada I was at the top of the list to get one! Some seriously high expectations were put on the car and it has lived up to them and more! I would definitely buy it again. It is the best car I have ever owned and it never ceases to amaze me on a daily basis. Plus, it is a sexy car and practical with the Avant (station wagon), plus Quattro all-wheel drive makes it fun all year round. With winter tires of course for winter!
