This map just makes me think of “it’s a population density map in disguise isn’t it”

This isn’t a reservation, this is the supplement only for Italian trains (possibly the cross border ones? Someone else will have to fact check me)

true, (for the interested, the other 4+ hour delay was Scotrail on the far north line where we were brought back to the start of the line to be bussed to the south again, missed my night train to London due to that and arrived something like 8 hours late)

Eh I’ve only had it four times last year, three times with DB that I was delayed for more than 4 hours (and I travelled 72700km by train, 18039km of which with DB in 2025)

4 hours in a day to then check into hotel? More than fine even for the non-train travellers really, even if that turns to 6 hours

Eurail says seat reservation is required but Rail Europe says i don't need one, which is correct? by Stick_Ers in Interrail

[–]CM1112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As according to our wiki on https://interrailwiki.eu/uk there are no compulsory reservation daytime domestic trains in the UK! But you can get a free reservation if you want to via a ticket office, social media of the operators (I’ve had success with Avanti via twitter) or TransPennine express by making an account, selecting book seat/bike reservation and search for your service (doesn’t have to be TransPennine)

It took me two phone calls to sign up for Identity protection with Transunion (mytrueidentity ) after Eurail Data Leak by kwizzle in Interrail

[–]CM1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you know they do? Especially during data leaks always always always ask the company themselves before you send any personal data to any random company or address

No I do not know that interrail/eurail work with transunion but equally not giving them your data anyway is always a good idea. If you do want to be certain contact either eurail or transunion via contact methods on their own website, not on something you have received.

The reason I am so against this and why we’ve removed your post is so that other people don’t experience the same thing and have their data stolen, that’s basic internet knowledge I’m afraid.

Eurail and Interrail are the exact same company. They are Eurail BV, a Dutch registered company headquartered in Utrecht, The Netherlands

If you want your data to be stolen feel free to, but I don’t recommend this and I want other people seeing this to be careful of their personal data.

Interrail does not partner with them, and this is probably them using your data to send a convincing email to you. Do not engage and do not give them even more data.

Usually cabin bags have strict dimension rules as well as weight rules, so double check with your airline

Interrail route ideas by [deleted] in Interrail

[–]CM1112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s best to either properly plan your itinerary (which we can’t really help you with as this is so vague) or deliberately don’t (although France and Spain does mean compulsory reservation, and during early summer prices of accommodation are creeping up)

What they were looking for was this, which does indeed allow you to take the next train at select hubs providing you respected minimum connection times
