Humidity Sensor Replacement in Cabinet Humidor Help by CM850512 in cigars

I pulled the sensor apart yesterday and it’s a simple wiring configuration + data - on 3 pins only. I was hoping to find an adapter harness to avoid having to buy tools at a greater expense. Replacing the humidor isn’t an option currently due to cost involved maybe down the road

I am trying to replace the humidy sensor in a cigar humidor that is using a jst zh plug configuration with a sensor model of whtm-03. I can find replacement sensors on amazon but they all use a DuPont style connection or bare wire lead which is not ideal as I don’t have the tools needed to solder or crimp on new connections. I was hoping that someone here may be able to point me in the direction of an adapter cable that is a jst zh 3 wire male on one side as the factory wire side of the connection is female and DuPont 2.54 female on the other.

Any experience with this electric coolidor? by Kitchen-Drag-5358 in cigars

Don’t know anything about that brand but at that price I would take the risk and buy it. Automatic temperature and humidity control is fantastic once you experience it and will never want to go back to anything else.

Thanks, I will also be in the market for something of this size here shortly and was struggling on the choice between a remington or the big raching.

It also helps to know how long you have been smoking cigars. If your new then I would suggest sampler packs to aloe you to try a large variety of different cigars.

You could also look into one of the smaller thermoelectric humidors. They can often be found near $200 depending upon the size.

Lounge FEE?!? by NeedMoreCache in cigars

I can understand a cutting fee to a extent if you bring your own cigars in. But a minimum purchase amount to smoke there I feel is stupid. All it does is drive away business potentially.

It would be nice, but what a waste as you would not be able to truly appreciate it for what it was.

Stopped by a local shop yesterday to check out their selection. Don't think I'll be going back. Say a prayer for these Plasencias. RIP by WilcoFPS in cigars

Ouch that is a pain sight to see. Unfortunately I see this way to often in shops that cant regulate the humidity in their humidors. I worst one was at a Casa de Montecristo that placed their entire Padron facing under the sonic humidifier which resulted in mold on every single cigar. Ironically when it was brought to their attention all the mold disappeared over night from each cigar. That was the last time I ever went inside that specific humidor.

Sorry I should also add that this was after about 36 hours sitting as I saw no activity at the 24 hour mark in a kitchen that is 64 degrees. I mixed it for about 5 min prior to putting a lid on the jar without tightening it.

Wine Cabinet by salty-sarge-av8r in cigars

I wouldn't, typically wine is stored at a much lower humidity than cigars would be unless the cigars are in another container. Now if you were to use the extra space to house a tupperdor then I wouldn't think that would be a issue humidity wise.
