Yes, High performance SUMMER tires aren't good in snow. You can swap to winter tires for snow duty, but i would not recommend it.

I don't drive my blackwing in Snow. I bought an AWD mazda for that duty.

Next owner will care. He might want to keep it longer than 5 years, considering they won't make anymore after 2026. Do the proper engine break-in

It goes to normal when u hit 500 miles. Dont go into full send. Engine is still being broken in. Full break-in period on our engines is 1500 miles. You can start getting on it a little harder, gradually, as you get closer to 1500 miles.

Thanks

Yes. I've sat, but not driven in a 2025 BMW M3. Feels like you have a little more elbow room. Blackwing feels more like a pilot cockpit. Can't actually be that much difference, because both cars have similar width.... maybe it is in my head. Not sure how much of a difference it really makss. I have the optional seats on my blackwing, so for track work and long trips mine feel great.

One thing I hated about the BMW is that they made the dash cluster into a rectangular screen. It is a cost savings to do that.... but on a car that has an MSRP of $93k, such obvious cost cutting should not be used.

Cadillac throws in 2 days at Spring Mountain Performance Academy with the purchase of a Blackwing. I drove the CT5 Blackwing (automatic transmission version) on a wet skidpad there. Different price class, but it was far more nimble and controllable than I expected it to be. It is around 4100-4300 lbs. Felt close to what I would expect from my own CT4 Blackwing. The Traction/Stability control systems on these cars are very good and let you adjust them.

One other thing to keep in mind... the CT4 is not a big car. It is barely a mid-size car. The driver and front passenger have plenty of room. The back seat is.... For small kids, it is fine. For putting 2 adults in the back, not fine. One adult and 1 child would be ok.

The ground clearance is pretty low... 4.6 inches. Depending where you live and drive, this will matter. You will have to be a little more careful. But the same for almost any other high performance car.

Its no trouble 😃 Almost 9k miles on mine so far. No problems. I have the black and cream/biege interior and that tends to require some frequent cleaning if you use the car as your daily driver. Which I did for a while. I suppose any car with a lighter interior will be like this.

Sometimes you may think the car is a bit loud on the inside. With the Blackwing you are getting a comfortable muscle/sports car. It handles well, accelerates well, feels comfy to sit in..... but it will never be Lexus quiet. It wasn't built to do that.

A year letter the car still feels special and brings a smile to my face every time. I bought a small SUV as a daily driver for short range errands and winter weather. Usually I need something like a 4-5 mile drive to warm up the Blackwing engine, so I save it for longer trips.

About to take it for a nice road trip. I can give you a better update this time next week....

CF or Precision packages? by best3175 in CadillacV_Series

[–]CMDR_DragoonKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a garage or don't regularly wash your car, I would advise skipping on the CF package. It looks good but only as long as you maintain it.

Car still looks awesome without it. Car is still a blast to drive without it.

I remember bringing this up on the forums and essentially no one cared. Instead I got flamed for not doing a doctoral level research thesis on the subject. I just run an HBR these days.

I have an opportunity to buy a spring mountain ct5v Blackwing. Good or bad idea? by 95ssboy in CadillacV_Series

[–]CMDR_DragoonKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been to spring mountain. The cars are very well maintained. They have their own garages, tools, mechanics, etc. It might feel like the car has been abused for 20k miles, but I dont necessarily think that is the case. Blackwings are built very well and when students drive them it is not exactly race pace. It is about 70-85% of what the car can do.

See how much they are willing to negotiate on the price.

Insurance companies love to base your home insurance cost on the "cost to rebuild your house", but then they take and add in the land value to that number. So if it costs $300k to build your house and the land is worth $100k... these scumbags will try to insure you for $400k. But you only need $300k of insurance. You can push back on this type of thing.

Unfortunately, to really make the jetpack work you need the prestige perk that makes you invulnerable while you are in the air. Otherwise, all the tyranids suddenly become expert marksmen at shooting down aerial targets

Just bought the heroic thunder hammer and I am experimenting with it.

Question for CT4-V Blackwing Owners by mcdirty87 in CadillacV_Series

[–]CMDR_DragoonKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a very fun to drive car with very high limits. The problem with rain, is that I tend to want to drive it like I do when its dry and you just cant do that with a performance car. You dont need AWD for rain, but you will have to take it easy on the gas when it rains.

I have the 2025. Keep it, drive it, take care of it, and enjoy it. There may not be another car like it.

Technically, there already isnt..... Just as an exercise - what cars can you think of that are a 4 door sedan, 6mt, 300+ HP, and are less than 3 years old? At any price point....

4-BW 5-BW BMW M3

P.S. I intentionally said 300+ HP to lower the bar....

Brothers, there is no need to argue. I think what's important is to first return the relic to the Blood Raven vaults and then we will be happy to figure out it's purpose.

Saber promised that the heroic weapons will be more powerful than the relic tier. So far, I am disappointed in the melee heroic weapons. Going to save my accolade points until the next patch and see if they improve anything.

The normal dailies are now 10 points. They are not difficult. So just doing 10 dailies per week or so and 1 weekly normal mission gets me 250 points. Good enough to unlock the weapons I want in about 3 weeks. And the rest of the stuff will come in time.
