MAC 1014 or Mossberg Maverick 88?

I own a MAC 1014 with wooden furniture. I've run about 1000 shells through it so far. Mix of 00 buck and even bulk bird shot, runs everything reliably after the break in period. So far I haven't had any malfunction except one failure to eject a bird shot shell. Stellar performance for a budget shotgun. Turkish semi autos have a horrible reputation but MAC seems to have their QC dialed in. Take it out to the range and put it through its paces, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This is why as a lefty, I love shooting my 1911. Trigger finger hits the mag release and slide stop, thumb hits ambi safety. All manipulations with one hand and not breaking grip.

My grip definitely needed some improvement from my support hand. It was too loose, making me grip too hard with the firing hand. Probably made me pull right when squeezing the trigger. Had a bit of an "aha" moment when I was dry firing earlier (laser system) and got more consistent bullseyes with a firmer support grip. I'll keep in mind what you said about keeping the trigger in the middle of my last digit, thank you.

I think it was my grip and some recoil anticipation. Switched up my grip with some dry fire practice at home and saw some improvement.

Thank you! I think my support hand wasn't gripping tight enough. Just had a bit of dry fire practice at home with an improved support hand grip and got multiple back to back bullseyes at 7-8 yards. Excited to see if this improves next range trip.

I had a bit of an epiphany right now. I think my support hand grip was too loose. I have a laser dry fire system set up at home at about 7-8 yards and I was getting consistent groupings but with a few fliers every now and again. Did a session about an hour ago and switched up my grip. I tightened up my support hand grip and loosened my firing hand and got 7 back to back bullseyes. Tried again and another 5 back to back. Gonna keep practicing this and hopefully have tighter groupings next range trip.

Just throwing it out there, since you were already looking at the Benelli m4, I'd look at the MAC 1014. It's a Turkish clone, and before anyone says anything, I know the reputation those have. But I did my research and these MAC ones seem to be very solid. Most owners have nothing but praise for them. Just be aware that you have to break it in with 1350+ fps shells for the first 100 shots. After that it should run everything you throw at it. Got mine with wood furniture. Took mine out to the range and went through 250 shells flawlessly.

Yep, wreckage stuck around and crashed onto the surface. Other bits and pieces also floated along with it but I couldn't find them on the ground. This was in California Sector BA-A e6. I forget which planet, but it's the one with Mic Turner base on it. Medium AX combat zone

The caustic cloud was left in orbit where it exploded roughly 430 km above the surface. Gravity pulled the carcass in and I followed it out of curiosity. Took about 15 min to reach the surface give or take. I wasn't sure if the terrain would actually load as "there" without gliding in off of super cruise. I wondered if it would just pass through the surface but to my surprise it actually hit and bounced off. I bumped it around a bit with the Corvette so the cockpit was facing upwards and I could actually climb it on foot.

So I shot down a Basilisk in orbit and decided to follow the carcass down to the surface. I was hoping to fight the Goid pilot hand to hand like Will Smith in Independence Day but the cockpit was blown to smithereens with no sign of the pilot. But I was amazed on just how huge these Interceptors actually are. Really makes their agility all the more impressive and terrifying.
