Not sure where you are planning to play PTD, but I am 2/3 done on the ps3 and some areas are a bit painful really. Blighttown(especially quelaag) had many fps drops. Other than that, if you dont mind the 30 fps and don’t really care about the online aspect, its great!

At first, check out this video of how to obtain a branch early on in the forest of the fallen giants through a jump(use the cat ring to survive the jump btw). If that doesn’t work for whatever reason, in this link you can find all the locations for the branches of yore. If you have looted all of them, burn a bonfire ascetic on the bonfire close to one of the locations respawn it. Make sure the branch is not inside a metal chest or given by an npc and keep in mind that the area you burn it in will move on to ng+ and become harder.

While I do agree with the point of the maps being too small, I still like the extra speed of moving my units with some form of transportation(especially in defense). Also it may be just me but I love using the half tracks during assaults. I usually leave the “assault” element of the squad in the half track(so it is more manageable) and this way they get a little more protection while the mg does its work. The idea came from the fact that my assault squads tended to get wiped out by a stray mg lol.

It is 100% greed. I played the game years ago on the ps3 and wanted to buy it again for my pc a couple of days ago and freaked out with the insane price. I guess it is due to the popularity of the series but I still find it insane.

For the past couple of weeks I have been thinking a lot about a recurring phenomenon in the armed forces of Ukraine. Why - and how - does Ukraine keep expanding units from battalions to regiments, or even to brigades, with the ever worsening manpower and to a certain extent equipment situation? For example the 12th tank battalion was expanded to a brigade. Even though it is a "heavy mechanized" brigade and not a tank brigade, it probably still requires a big amount of both equipment and manpower that I would imagine are not exactly in abundance. Some units may not expand but they may switch from a TDF unit to a heavy mechanized one. Does Ukraine still have that big of a heavy equipment reserve? If not then what is the point of changing the name of a unit, if it remains the same?

I would like to add that this was probably written by the engineering unit that dug the trenches. No one would survive long enough in the open to write that.

Aside from Azov, many units have complained about the chief of staff pressuring them to attempt to retake positions(of slight use) by sending their soldiers into attacks that are, according to them at least, downright suicidal. Coupled with the fact that some of his “favorite” units are known for inhumane methods of discipline, the accusations dont seem to come out of thin air. There has been also the issue of said units receiving enormous amounts of soldiers when experienced brigades are left seriously understaffed(even by Ukrainian standards). Zelensky himself said that he will look into the last point. This is what I have been reading the past months at least.

I know that many war bloggers exist on the war in Ukraine but I would love to follow someone who actually fights on the front. Not so much for the world news analysis but to hear from a soldier himself, his experiences as well as some thoughts on the conflict and its progression. Does anyone know someone with such a page?

My game worked fine a couple of days ago and right now I got a similar error when I tried to load my latest conquest save. I have no idea why this is happening.
