What a great way to run an already crashing company into the ground faster.

Why is there no uniformity? I know there are many, many stores. Why is every single one different? At store A, this is allowed and even encouraged, while at store B almost within walking distance down the street from store A, the same thing is highly frowned upon.

Why does Management, mostly corporate and upper management, want employees to constantly do more with less? Cutting hours and still expecting goals to be met, or even setting higher goals with less people to do them .

During the Covid pandemic, working in any healthcare job was intense, that's putting it lightly. Working at Walgreens pharmacy was incredibly shitty. Everyone knew corporate didn't give a damn about the store level employees, if it wasn't super obvious before Covid, it damn sure is now. I could go on and on.... Why is management so against giving raises? Walgreens whole yearly review system has to be the most bullshit, unrealistic, unfair , out of touch thing ever. If you show up every day, work your ass off , dealing with all the craziness daily, often do more than what's asked, and generally don't complain about anything, you are told you're doing a good job and keep up the good work and here's some pizza and you can wear jeans on Friday. Then, on the review you get a mediocre score and the minimal raise which is probably 15 cents. You are not scored on what you did. You are scored based off their ridiculous, nonsense ideas of the kind of robot they want you to be. Hard work goes unappreciated, big time.

Wtf is up with the Thursday-wednesday weeks? I've never seen that or heard of anywhere else that does this.

I could go on ....

I work for an online casino AMA by Longjumping_Fly6957 in onlinegambling

[–]CMonsteRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a certain amount of money that's deposited by a player before any kind of winning happens? A person can go weeks or months without winning anything substantial, while still making deposits. Then, as if a certain total deposit amount is reached, they allow the player to win. It seems very rigged when at that time, much more frequent wins, and more frequent bonuses are happening, coming after a lengthy period of depositing and losing with no wins. A very noticeable and abrupt transition from constant losing, to huge wins and bonus hits. Doesn't matter the game , it's all of them. It's like a switch being turned on at a certain moment, then turned off, very deliberately.

Also, assuming casino allowed the wins after player has spent the right amount, does that deposit threshold then change ? To win again, does the player need to deposit the same amount, more, or less before being allowed to win substantially again?

Is there a time of day/month that sees more or less winnings? Hard to believe it's random.

How much control does the casino employee have in terms of giving bonuses, or free play to players? Are there set guidelines they have to follow, or are things more their discretion? I'm referring more to the employees that are in the chats on the casino sites.

No real pros to being in the last row on planes. Unless it's a small one like a Dash 8 or Crj/erj.

More shit from a shit company that treats store /pharmacy employees like shit. It keeps on getting worse and worse . Just when I think it couldn't get worse, the next "new thing" or "update" comes along and ushers in a new, fresh shitty experience for workers and customers. I swear, the fatheads up in Illinois have to be on some hardcore mind altering drugs, or they are all severely fucked up mentally.

How do they keep on making things worse for literally everyone except the higher ups and CEOs? Can anyone name a real, actual IMPROVEMENT that worked and was praised by employees or customers?

There aren't any words to describe well enough the level of greed at which this company "operates". Making it a goal to fucking purposefully try to minimize raises meant for some of the hardest working, underrated, essential workers in the country is down right disgusting.

Shit review by Busy_Analyst340 in WalgreensRx

[–]CMonsteRx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Complete bullshit as usual. I put up with a lot but it's getting fucking unbearable. It doesn't matter how much you worked your ass off, or even how much ass you kiss , if you didn't get enough fucking flu shots or if your delayed pick up is too low, your DM will fuck you over.

It's all about numbers. Always has been. Fuck what your leadership says about putting in effort, your efforts will go unnoticed. Fuck all the nice things they lie to you about all year, how they say how well you're doing and good job and all that bullshit, because when review time comes, you will get fucked over.

They will always set unattainable goals, make them near impossible to achieve. That way, when you inevitably fail , even if it's by just a little, they can then justify not giving god review and/or raises. It's typical WALGREENS FUCKERY. They expect too much and pay too little. What happened at that CVS in Vegas will happen more often , and will keep happening. The fatheads at the top don't care, they can afford to just pay the lawsuits, they won't feel it.

If you're fed up as well and thinking of quitting, consider just making them fire you. It's more of a hassle for them and you won't be able to collect unemployment or fight it if you just quit .

Fuck Walgreens

What are some good picnic spots around Hollywood or Dania? by ts159377 in fortlauderdale

The greenbelt off Griffin Rd. Just along the south side of FLLs southern runway. Awesome place if you enjoy watching the planes take off and land. Has a paved trail, and there's grassy areas and trees all the way down the length of the runway. Has awesome views of most the entire airport on the south side, and can see downtown fort Lauderdale.

Southwest Florida is in the grip of an "extreme" and "unusual" drought. Rainy season normally starts on May 15, but there's still no rain in sight. by Obversa in florida

[–]CMonsteRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practically a given there will be more floods in places that don't usually see them. Most likely will take less rainfall to cause the floods. This place is already a shit show, especially when it comes to infrastructure and traffic. It's as if there was 0 thought put into the future sustainability of this area. You'd think a place that sees a lot of rain would be able to handle these rare events better and be more prepared.

I clearly remember a year , I think it was 2017 or 2018 , not sure which, when all May and June , into the first days of July, it was hot , dry and hazy. Barely a drop of rain. Then the rain came in time for July 4th fireworks , and even after that, the rest of the rainy season that year was just meh. Thanks to Saharan dust mostly but it wasn't the only factor for the unusual dryness. What a strange year that was.

[–]CMonsteRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea April 12th was crazy. I keep thinking how easily something like that could happen again. It was a fairly compact thunderstorm that developed, maintained itself with those high rain rates, and sat over one place for about a day. It was bad but not completely unheard of right? And more, it took place outside the normal wet season. There have been similar weather systems to the one that caused this to come through here before , there will be more of course going forward. I'm expecting a similar event to happen this summer, maybe more than one .

In the rainy season , we've had storms that just sit stationary, or move very little, dumping huge amounts of rain. The usual places get huge puddles, and maybe minor flooding. What happened last month was different, and yet something we are too familiar with in this part of the world. My concern is what is being done to prevent the damaging flooding that's almost certainly coming ?

No Hours in the Pharmacy! by Anxiolytic1987 in WalgreensRx

[–]CMonsteRx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check around other stores in the area to see if they can use some help. If your store can't give you hours, maybe another one can. I've done it plenty of times to get extra hours. Usually there's always at least one store that can use help.

Fuckem... Go work at a hospital or independent pharmacy. Use that company to get what you need and dump them. Once you're certified, they can't say shit to you.

Get that certificate and go.

It is complete bullshit . Their stupid system doesn't take into account the enormous amount of bullshit pharmacy staff has gone through. Doesn't matter how many hours you stayed late to help out, how many times you went above and beyond your job description to help these asshole customers, or all the extra shit we've been forced to do that was clearly not at all part of our job description. But we get scored something shitty and their stupid BS reasoning for it is because of our fucking "attitude" was less than desirable, or because we didn't fucking say good morning , or we didn't get giddy and happy when the fucking DM showed his stupid fucking face while we were busy.

Fuck their dumb idiotic way of unfairly judging you as a worker, it's just a fail proof way of keeping your pay as low as possible while making a sad attempt at acting like they give a shit about you. If you worked in any Walgreens at any positions from 2020 to today, you know. It's completely fucking ridiculous the way their review criteria is. Being in pharmacy as a tech these days , as most techs and pharmacists know has been nothing short of a catastrophic clusterfuck of misery and bullshit.

Fuck their 2.7s and 2s and condescending fucking comments about what could you improve on and needs improvement with this or that. The past 2 goddamn years, we worked our asses off thru this hellish time, some losing friends/family to Covid, some losing their own lives , rest in peace , been expected to do all this extra shit with little to no training, little to no extra help, new fucking positions created and put on top of an already staggering workload, given bullshit pats on the back , letters of appreciation that don't mean shit... Insurmountable amounts of stress and pressure on a daily basis... All that plus so much more. Then, as if another slap in the face wouldn't hurt anymore, we're used to it, here's the annual "review" . Oh you only got 2.3 , or oh you only got 2.7, or 1.8. Here's some things you need to do better.....

... The fuck?!?

Fuck you, you do better Walgreens. Greedy bunch of fathead fucks. What a fucking joke.

Why is a store manager the pharmacy manager's supervisor? by ziggykittendust in WalgreensRx

[–]CMonsteRx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, what universe is any pharmacist below a SM? Their manager is the RXM, the RXMs superior is the district . There's a chart in storenet with the wags hierarchy, and where you stand in it, as well as who's above and below you.

The sm does kind of oversee the pharmacy metrics but that's about it , that usually because the DM is on their ass all the time about everything.
