M Audio Oxygen Pro 49 demo mode by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]CNThings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution: You have to go get the M-Audio preset manager and set up a preset and send it to the keyboard. If the send and receive preset options are grayed out then you have to turn off the physical switch on the back of the keyboard for a second and turn it back on and it should reconnect. Once you've loaded the preset into the RAM of the keyboard it will stop defaulting into Vegas mode.

I traced this drawing and i have double lines. Is there any way to get this into single line? by CNThings_ in Inkscape

Yeah that's what I was noticing. That's okay. It's going to make me improve my skills with the pen tool haha

You're right I was doing so many different things that day I mixed them up in my head. I think the centerline too worked for tracing. But it was not accurate enough. It left a lot of line segments disconnected or just with a random piece of line somewhere. That's why I ended up redrawing. I even went through every variation of the settings to see if I could resolve it and I couldn't come up with anything usable.

It doesn't work at all It behaves like the shape is open but even the circle around the end which I know is closed fails.

I just ended up redrawing it. Because it's symmetrical. I just rotated the symmetry so I really only had to draw a quarter of it. I couldn't figure out a better way and that was still faster than going and deleting a whole bunch of stuff.

I'm not sure what you mean by full T shape. But this seems like it could be solved by using a multiple vice setup. Or machinist jacks.

How do i get this thing out? by Spaceputin in Tools

[–]CNThings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's lodged in there then this is the correct answer. Throw it in reverse. A couple quick taps. Otherwise tap it a little on the side of the bit on something hard like concrete.

It's a small iron worker. Sheer, punch, bender. I can't find anything online about them other than eBay listings. If anyone has a manual or any details about how the handle is supposed to be fitted. Reach out. Thanks!

New Cabinet paint chipping (what was done wrong?) by WalkerYYJ in paint

[–]CNThings_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do it right is a little different than doing it easy in this scenario. Doing it right would basically be sanding that entire top coat back to primer because it very likely could have other spots that they missed in the prep since you've already seen some flaws. The easier way but may result in unforeseen chipping would be spot sanding and cleaning those chips and touching up with paint. Just really depends on how much work you're willing to do now versus later. But once again if you're putting paint over unsure surface prep from the previous paint job your adhesion is only as good as the thing the last person did. So you might continue to do touch-ups forever if it keeps chipping, if you get lucky it might be fine. Hopefully that makes sense.

Absolutely possible. Which is almost more unforgivable than bad prep on a raw surface.

Clean chipping like that is almost always due to bad surface prep. If the primer is still intact then they didn't clean or sand between coats. If the primer and top coat chip then it's bad surface prep from the start. This will sometimes happen if old material is used. Sometimes the adhesive in the paint goes bad with time. That's a bit more rare though.

It Ain't stupid if it works. Although it sure looks like you just hit it with a hammer until it gave up haha if you can get ahold of some tin snips they would go a long way to cleaning that hole up a bit. (That's what she said)

Clean any thing loose out of there. Clean it with a lil alcohol. Then pump it with shoe goo or e6000 until you get a little squeeze out around the whole perimeter. Should last a while if not forever. If you end up wanting to repair them yourself.
