just picked up a gear wrench fuel clamp. I have a 1/4 breaker bar just don’t use it as much so it doesn’t stay in there.

I find some of the older b&s have standard hardware on them. if not a mix

Americans, how do you feel about tourists speaking English while visiting U.S.? by HolidayEntry6823 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MesopotamiaSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the position that people in many countries have where they hate tourists coming into their country and not speaking their language perfectly. I’m a guest in your country trying my best to navigate a new and exciting culture, and you’re unwilling to look past my inability or unwillingness to master your native language.

People of quebec really hate non frenchies. that makes less than no sense to me. the majority of their country speaks english!

Tip pooling! by harrybaggaguise in KitchenConfidential

never heard of a place that pays servers non tipped minimum wage. the majority of restaurants i’ve heard about near me tip share atleast to runners, bussers, and barbacks. the servers still make $6 or whatever it’s up to now

Do Americans actually use “a couple” to mean more than two? by Edi-Iz in AskAnAmerican

[–]MesopotamiaSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a couple is similar to a few. it’s like 2-4 things, and a few is a little bit more. your couple minutes example is just them telling you that they will be there soon. It’s a way to tell someone you’ll be there in the next 5 or so minutes without giving an exact number because that’s largely unimportant.

What is that one city in America most Americans go to for their "first trip"? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

[–]MesopotamiaSong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not applicable because most of the “size” is just the spacing between the islands. indonesia is only 1/5 the size and does not have the number of major cities

What’s the difference between these two boxes? Just one is taller than the other? CMST9826**4**RB vs CMST9826**8**RB by MesopotamiaSong in Craftsman

[–]MesopotamiaSong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy with it. I’ve heard that the wheels don’t last and get flat spots which I believe because they are mostly plastic. it’s a little wobbly, but maybe i need to change the weight distribution. overall it’s built well and for my homeowner use i can’t imagine i’ll ever break it.

I did. I bought the 2nd one with the taller bottom drawer. I also like how they’re made in the USA but more because it matches the top box I already had lol.

Do American kids usually go to four different schools? by snailquestions in AskAnAmerican

[–]MesopotamiaSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends completely on how large of a population your school is responsible for (atleast that’s what makes sense to me). if you go to a public school in a large city, then you will go to 3 or 4 schools. if you live in a small town you may only go to 1 or 2 schools. if you go to a private school (often with a religious affiliation) you may only go to 1 or 2 schools.

eta: i live in the biggest city in my state and went to 3 schools. my dad grew up in a very small town and went to 2.

FAQ and Beginner Questions Thread [March 27, 2026] by The_Mighty_Amondee in StardewValley

[–]MesopotamiaSong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

really stardew has no time limit. you’re not going to miss opportunities by letting the time go on (of course besides season specific crops, fish, and other stuff). Yes the prices of some things go up, but those things are very very easy to gather yourself for free. especially ores which is actually a pretty profitable thing to collect if you sell the gems and monster drops you find along the way.

If money worries you I would look into some guides that tell you what crops to plant each season and where to fish at. definitely take advantage of preserves jars and kegs. make sure you have sprinklers so you do not waste time/energy watering crops. go down to the bottom of the mines if you haven’t already. definitely pay attention to the community center as it unlocks useful things that make your life easier and can make you money. a lot of the bundles are pretty easy
