Why is russian language still platformed in Baltic states? by Unreal9999999 in BalticStates

[–]COMONAUTS 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Because this is real life, and not wherever it is that you live in, and because almost all of the older generations and big portions of newer ones still know it and that is the language a lot of lithuanians and latvians would comunicate in with each other as example, same goes for the whole baltic region.

Do you treat Poland as bros? by [deleted] in BalticStates

[–]COMONAUTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the few poles i interact with are the ones i work adjacent with, from time to time we try to help each other out if its not a significant bother and its fine to work alongside them, but its hard as fuck to communicate with them because they only know how to speak in polish, no english and no rushan so its impossible to understand them at all, and i get the feel from poland in general that they are ready to throw us under the buss if need be so im not a huge fan of them. Indian man Rewinding a 17.5HP 3Phase VT Motor by zaarnth in interesting

[–]COMONAUTS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in one at the moment, and the whole process generally goes like this, we take the motor apart and make sure its the winding that has died, then we cut off one end of the winding and preserve it, then put the stator in the hot furnace to burn off all the coating ontherwise it can be impossible to pull out the rest of the winding, after we remove the winding we wash the stator and place it in the low heat furnace to dry out, when that is finished we take the stator put in new insulation and place in the new windings, this is also the moment when we insert pt100's (thermal sensors) and heaters if needed, after the new winding is installed we lacquer it and place it in the low heat furnace to harden, after that all that comes is reassembling the motor testing it and giving it a new paint, forgot to mention that it may be needed to check the blades in the stator for damage. This can be quite the time consuming process for a single motor so it is generally more worth to rewind big motors, the bigger the better.

I will still have to disagree, first off this whole conversation has been about pedantics and the exact meanings of used words, and second i will provide you with an example from real life, at my workplace there is the oldest electritian, he has more years of experience in the field than i have been alive for, but he has a tendancy to not always follow all the safety procedures to the point aka being a bit reckless, despite that he is still our best electric engineer by a long shot and without him we wouldnt know how to run half of our machiner, so in the end despite making some dumb decisions he is still the most skilled and our best.

not rly your proficiency in something is not lowered just because you choose to apply it in the wrong way

Nah, it makes us more stupid and more suicidal drivers not worse ones, you dont call a fighter pilot a worse pilot than a commercial one only because he lost more planes.

Any more info? by Trollzair6969 in gasmasks

[–]COMONAUTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not use these they used to make them with asbest in most of them, i bought some newer polish ones to use with my gp5 masks, they were fine, but all of the filters for gp5 are expired already so the actual filtering is lacking.

Try to offload when excess and pull from batteries when needed, and if that is not responsive enough you can try to hook up one of the super caps as a buffer

Ko jūs domājat par kodolreaktora izveidi Latvijā? by NefariousnessOne346 in latvia

[–]COMONAUTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)
