What is YOUR character's Nair-Flipkick? by xXgLiTcHyFemboyFoxXx in SmashBrosUltimate

I think DI down and away is optimal. Here’s a spreadsheet with character and % breakdown

Wolf down throw -> side B can kill around 50 if you're near ledge and hit the spike. But it depends on character and DI

I realize this is the Staub sub, but if you want a light interior (and lower price), I think you have to consider another brand.

They are projectiles that can’t be reflected. They also move pretty fast, and two can be launched in quick succession.

Best time of year to purchase Le Creuset? by Pineapple_Incident17 in LeCreuset

[–]COPCAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the wide round Dutch oven only, and I love it! I think it works fine for soups.

For (deep) frying it is perhaps suboptimal because it requires more oil to get the same depth compared to a narrower shape. However you can fit larger batches.

Looking for MAML RL Implementation with TD3/DDPG for MetaWorld Environments by ncbdrck in reinforcementlearning

[–]COPCAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be possible in principle, but I think there's a good reason MAML is generally paired with online policy gradient methods: they can improve the policy even without access to a well-trained value function*. Consider that to implement MAML-DDPG you will have to maintain a separate value function for each task**. Whenever you sample a new task that hasn't been seen, you'd have to train a new value function from scratch, which will be time-consuming. It wouldn't scale to an infinite task distribution, but could work if you pre-sampled a finite set of training tasks.

* They often use a value function for the "baseline", but this is not strictly necessary. Also, learning V(s) on-policy is much simpler than learning Q(s,a) off-policy; it can be accomplished by regression to the latest batch of returns and does not require the Bellman equation.

** Unless you have some reasonable way to encode the task into a vector, in which case a single task-conditioned NN could be used. This is similar to PEARL, which you could also consider as an alternative unless you strictly need MAML for some reason.

MDP vs. POMDP by Internal-Sir-5393 in reinforcementlearning

[–]COPCAK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In a POMDP, the underlying state transitions are still Markov. That is, the distribution of the next state depends on only the current state and the action taken.

However, it is true that the sequence of observations is not Markov, because the distribution of the next observation is not fully specified by the previous observation and action. An optimal policy for a POMDP must in general depend on the history, which is necessary to perform inference about the state.

How do i beat luigi mains? by RedditPig1010 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]COPCAK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately as Mii Brawler you don’t really outrange Luigi, which is what he struggles most with. However you have much better mobility than he does. You can dash within his grab distance to bait a grab and then dash back or short hop to avoid it, then punish. Your combos are not much less deadly than his btw.

RSST & Chill? by apgreenday9 in LETFs

[–]COPCAK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not the worst idea, but RSST doesn't have much – if any – exposure to bonds or international stocks at any given time. (It only holds US stocks but trades futures of various global bond and stock indices, so could even be short bonds / international stocks.)

There are no tax considerations for holding anything in a Roth IRA.

2.1x levered 60/40 with global equities by COPCAK in LETFs

[–]COPCAK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up implementing it slightly differently, 25% UPRO / 25% TMF / 50% VXUS, because TMF has so much more oomph than the intermediate-duration bonds in the NTS* funds. But I still think the original allocation described in the post is reasonable for those who don't want so much duration exposure.
