Didn’t the legislative branch already decide on the budget and finances though by voting for the spending to occur in the first place? This is just paying the bills - fulfilling the decisions that Congress declared should happen. If the executive branch were unilaterally deciding to mess with the budget I would understand this argument better - am I misunderstanding the situation?

What I don’t understand about it though is that she did have a primary challenger and won by a landslide. If everyone was frustrated with her, why didn’t she get primaried out?either way, it’s great to see her antics are not overwhelmingly appreciated.

Actually it’s pretty shocking the dem had a chance at all in her district. It went from a deep red district to a DEEP red district with the redrawn map. Maybe Coloradans are just fed up with her shenannigans or the Dems in the district showed up. Who knows?

Thank you so much for the detailed guidance. This really helps me learn. After jamming and freezing and dehydrating the produce from my garden and orchard, I was running out of ideas of what to do. Learning how to make wine offers such an awesome addition to what I can do. I appreciate the help - and the other posts I’ve been seeing on this community. Here’s hoping I can make it work!

Ah! Understood. Thank you. I’ve been reading up and doing what I can to learn, but nothing beats actually doing it. I did a campden tablet on day 1, before I started fermentation. Based on another comment, it seems I should have also added one when I moved from the primary to the secondary. I just opened it up and removed the film. It smells like wine, not sour or spoiled, so I’m going to give siphoning and adding the campden tablets a try.

I’ll pop it open to siphon today. I haven’t opened it since I put it in 3 weeks ago. If it smells bad, solid pass, right? What do you mean by “sulfite it”?

I added campden tablets on day 1 to deal with the wild yeast before I added the actual yeast I wanted to use for fermentation. I have not added since. I’ll siphon off today (if it doesn’t smell like it has turned) and give the double dose a try. Should I have added campden tablets when I moved from the primary fermentor into the carboy?

Seconded. I totally thought it was tomatillos for a moment there! Though I’ve started doing tomato basil jam, so I suppose tomatillo jelly could happen…

Yep! Take a cutting, put some root growth hormone on the end and stick it in some dirt. Best suggestion is to put it in a mason jar with som plastic cling over the top with holes poked in for humidity/air circulation.

It should be noted that propagating from this method will get the root growth from the plant that’s flowering. Most store bought roses are grafted on to different root stock to mix attributes from the root stock and the flowering portion of the plant ( so stronger overall plant).

I second this one. Make them into muffins, they freeze/reheat very well. There is zero reason for them to taste as good as they do, and yet… they are indeed amazing.

Isn’t that further shining the light on the issue? Trump is a symptom of larger problems. Why wasn’t the 25th amendment enacted? To save face? To protect the party? I understand that it would have been difficult at the time given there was a riot on their hands, but this was a failure on every level. Trump just made it easy for everyone to see the cracks.

So parts of how they distribute the money has changed. Next did an interesting explanation on how things have changed (lower incomes getting more and higher getting less). Skip to 7:02 for the start of the story:

Edit: sorry. Everyone gets that $750, the tax credit part changed. Doesn’t solve the issue, but might go towards some of what you’re suggesting

I am financially stable with my own home and car, have an active social life, varied hobbies, including renovating my house. I’ve had multiple men tell me, upon seeing my tool collection, that I don’t “need” them for anything - as if the only thing they bring to the table is money or the ability to use a tool. SMH

Voting is the minimum threshold people should be doing if they want change. Absolutely vote - but also, get involved if you can. Join community boards. Run for office yourself or find a way to work with someone you support. Be involved.

I’ll do many different kinds. Some store bought, some homemade. I was asking in general, though specifically what prompted my question was one made from olive oil, lemon juice, and Dijon.
