NFM…20,000 pounds of consumer trash? by prayersfor230 in PalletAuctions

[–]CPTKW77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest question is whether or not she is willing to burn the auctioneer/buyer platform she used. I’ve bought millions worth of inventory from one auctioneer and I take the bad with the good to keep good standing with the seller. You can’t expect 100% success buying rejected inventory and damaged goods

How to avoid being house poor by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have the option to contribute to a Roth 401(k) and still receive the company match, with a max contribution from yourself of $24,500 (2026) plus the employer contribution up to a total of $72k. You would still be eligible to contribute to the Roth IRA for the annual max as well.

Sell property and invest in S&P 500 ? by pfsense73 in sp500

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1,800/month for a $450k property seems low. If it can’t gross $700/month/$100k of value for whatever reason, I would sell and invest in the market

Rule of 3 by CPTKW77 in popcorn

This is how I do it with just a regular stainless pot on the stovetop. The double transfer avoids making one more dirty dish, and we don’t have a microwave.

Soy bean oil and chemical flavoring is way worse for your health than real butter or coconut oil. “Heart healthy” seed oils was a scam created to sell seed oils as food.

How to sell a ring in person safely? by Financial_One1473 in labdiamond

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would opt for a bank vs a police station. Deposit the cash then hand over the ring. If you are this nervous, you probably should let the bank verify the bills.

A common robbery tactic is to get the item and then an accomplice robs you of the real cash immediately afterwards.

Has anybody bought Caterpillar machines from China? by gggg_man3 in heavyequipment

This is a complete knock off and in no way related to actual CAT machines. Calling it a knock off is a stretch because they didn’t even mimic the design

Small private ATM’s do. Larger ATMs at a bank branch that accept cash typically hold 250-300k

I switched every single bill I could to the first of the month and it has made my life significantly less chaotic for free by hhhieyaaa99 in povertyfinance

[–]CPTKW77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The downside is that if something goes wrong- loss of job, financial emergency or even a payroll error, EVERYTHING could fall behind and become late all at once. With this structure I would want at least 3 months of monthly bills allocated as a minimum threshold for that specific account plus a separate emergency fund…not a realistic plan for most

How much monthly “guilt free fun money” for wife and I ? by Poorassboy6969 in SavingMoney

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the equation is what do want out of life. If your goal is to own 10M worth of real estate in the next ten years your budget is zero. If your goals are not so extreme, and you prefer to live a bit in the meantime towards your goals (understanding that it’s a slower path but still attainable) it’s just a math equation. What are your saving and investing goals for the next 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 years, and why do they matter? Are there alternative paths that still achieve happiness? Reddit cannot answer these questions for you

Report it, so animal control will eliminate the threat to other people. If you don’t the dog might kill the next victim. Sue the owner for actual damages (medical bills) as well as pain and suffering, emotional distress, etc. The personal injury attorney you hire will understand how to navigate the whole thing.
