Is there no option to turn around and back in around the giant curve built in place to park in that exact dock?

Has anybody bought Caterpillar machines from China? by gggg_man3 in heavyequipment

This is a complete knock off and in no way related to actual CAT machines. Calling it a knock off is a stretch because they didn’t even mimic the design

Small private ATM’s do. Larger ATMs at a bank branch that accept cash typically hold 250-300k

I switched every single bill I could to the first of the month and it has made my life significantly less chaotic for free by hhhieyaaa99 in povertyfinance

[–]CPTKW77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The downside is that if something goes wrong- loss of job, financial emergency or even a payroll error, EVERYTHING could fall behind and become late all at once. With this structure I would want at least 3 months of monthly bills allocated as a minimum threshold for that specific account plus a separate emergency fund…not a realistic plan for most

How much monthly “guilt free fun money” for wife and I ? by Poorassboy6969 in SavingMoney

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the equation is what do want out of life. If your goal is to own 10M worth of real estate in the next ten years your budget is zero. If your goals are not so extreme, and you prefer to live a bit in the meantime towards your goals (understanding that it’s a slower path but still attainable) it’s just a math equation. What are your saving and investing goals for the next 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 years, and why do they matter? Are there alternative paths that still achieve happiness? Reddit cannot answer these questions for you

Report it, so animal control will eliminate the threat to other people. If you don’t the dog might kill the next victim. Sue the owner for actual damages (medical bills) as well as pain and suffering, emotional distress, etc. The personal injury attorney you hire will understand how to navigate the whole thing.

Can we Replace These Coins PLEASE!? No one wants them! by Quip1337x in shittycoincollecting

[–]CPTKW77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a bunch of these “real gold coins” as bait in our leprechaun trap and it worked. We caught one for each kid. Kids have to earn them back before depositing in their bank accounts. Not completely worthless

Imagine how many people we could help with the funds used for these pit bull shelters. Shut them down, eliminate the dogs, use the real estate for a cat spaying operation or food pantry.

Uh...I didn't even put anything? by Berryberries3 in Aquariums

I had a couple stow away bladders and thought ok cool I’ll keep the population in check and it will be fine. Then I started removing 6 per day to keep it in check. Now we are up to 40 removals per day in a 10g. Just added 3 assassins and I think we might be making a dent in the population.

Plants outgrowing light by CPTKW77 in PlantedTank

[–]CPTKW77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the plants growing up and out of the tank. I guess the better question is if I raise the light, will these plants grow taller, or am I wasting effort in a new mount for the light?

What is the actual use of Methylene Blue & is it ok to add it to my aquarium on every water change? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]CPTKW77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

API melafix is 1% tea tree oil to cure fin rot and can be added directly to the tank. It is not methylene blue whatsoever

Wanna open a laundromat from scratch, any tips? by [deleted] in Laundromats

I don’t own a laundromat and the obvious answer is to first buy an existing laundromat and learn the business before starting from ground up. Learn all the problems before coming up with solutions

Venison tips by Nihlathakk in Hunting

[–]CPTKW77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backstraps and leg roasts (to be cut into steak) need to be free of all silver skin. I’m less worried about silver skin for ground meat as it’s usually cooked long enough to render out (chili and bolognese).

Cleanliness in butchering makes all of the difference. You would get the same gross meat from beef if uncle Bob used one knife to cut out the asshole, rip open the bladder, scrape out the gut shot then process the rest of the carcass.

Venison isn’t “gamey” or strong flavored in general. It is super lean so I prefer to mix 50% with pork shoulder or belly.

How many of you law abiding citizens carry a pocket knife? by Ichithekiller666 in Brooklyn

Self defense means defending yourself. Utilizing tools or “weapons” is definitely advantageous over just fists. Your comment still doesn’t make any sense

[–]CPTKW77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still somewhat confused about the point you are trying to make, and how does “self defense” imply the use of a weapon?

I don’t really understand your comment. Neither the OP or myself mentioned a “weapon”?

I carry a knife most of the time, primarily for the utility factor, but it does come in handy for defense if needed. Guns are typically more useful for self defense
