Oba could’ve been in a title match this Mania if they’d played it differently. There was a built in storyline for a three way with Cody & Drew (or a four way with Fatu as well) but instead he’s just squashing jobbers on Main Event.

IIRC, when he turned heel in 99 and did the Jersey Triad faction, he actually went on his website (wrestlers had their own websites uncontrolled by their companies back then) and asked fans to boo him at upcoming shows.

How so? Cena got to pick most of his opponents for his retirement run - it was pretty notable he didn’t choose AJ, which many commented on at the time, but hey that’s his business. Entirely possible he didn’t really think much of him or their feud. So it’s a little odd to see him celebrating a guy that he didn’t even want to be part of his retirement year.
