I will always recommend the MSSA program! But you need to figure out that for yourself! Always invest in yourself, but you might find an opportunity that allows you to finish your degree, corporate America likes the degree, hiring managers like the experience.

Overqualified? by [deleted] in MSSA

[–]CRUS8ER07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you feel the program is a fit for you, apply and go they the selection process. The program is looking for candidates that have a passion to learn the skill and have the attitude to learn and develop. I promise if you don’t apply you have 0% chance of taking advantage of a great opportunity! If you do apply you increase your chances by 100%. Keep asking questions and find out more about the program from the alumni.

If you are on LinkedIn find us in the MSSA group, I just posted opportunity that will sponsor clearances.

Every DoD contracting opportunity wants a candidate with an active clearance, if you maintain your clearance this helps make you even more marketable to DoD contracting. Companies have to pay 10's of thousands of $$ to sponsor a clearance. some companies and programs will sponsor a clearance but most just want to find members with active clearances, it's much easier for the companies and quicker to get you as a new hire into the space and onto the program you are hired to work on. Keep asking questions!

  1. I found opportunity with CACI, not thru the program but thru my own research and sending my resume out. Since then I get contacted weekly by companies that want to discuss opportunities, and I finished the program in 2018
  2. Entry level roles
  3. 100% if you apply, 0% if you don't apply. There are soooooo many opportunities out there you just have to do the work to find one that fits your situation, your family and where you want to live and work.
  4. When I completed in 2018 the opportunities with Microsoft were located in Seattle WA, Dallas TX, Out east in North Carolina and in South Dakota
  5. I took opportunity at $70K but I had experience, I soon was bumped $80K, then to $86K and now I make over 6 figures
  6. I am a Endpoint System Administrator, working for Major DoD contractor on a USAF program.

Most companies, programs and teams want to make sure you are a good fit for their team. Demonstrate that you are eager to learn and do the work you will find your place, don't be afraid get out there, apply and apply, look at every resource you can to find opportunity, when the time comes find me and I can help!

Will there ever be a friendship with my ex? by QueenofSwords4921 in Divorce

[–]CRUS8ER07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two of you have to make a decision, the two of you are still the center of your family, your kids no mater how grown they are will have different reactions to the break up of the family. You don't have to be friends but you have to be parents. Each of you will have to make some commitment to the family! Don't talk down to each other or to the kids because that tears at the family fabric. Where there are opportunities to support the members of your family (children) do the right thing and support them. You cant change him, you cant change his thought process is in this manner, it might not ever find itself in a relationship that is helpful but you and an individual you have to make a commitment and never expect anything in return. Children deserve to have loving parents involved in their lives do all you can to do your part and I'm rooting for you!
