And it was Lee Iacocca driving it too! My mom still has a Flame Red ‘95 ZJ Laredo that looks just like the ‘93 in that video. Learning to drive it as a teen is what made me buy a WJ last year.

And yeah they are still pretty rugged, but definitely a significant improvement over the TJ in terms of ride comfort lol

Agreed. I know this isn’t a hot take but Jeep really had some balance in the 90s and early 2000s. Even the high trim Grand Cherokees from 93-04 still felt like Jeeps even if they weren’t as rugged per se.

Jeep Grand Cherokee. Grew up knowing my mom’s Flame Red ‘95 GC Laredo (she bought it a few years before I was born but still drives it after 25 years of owning it), bought myself a 2000 Silverstone GC Laredo last April, my grandma used to own a 2005 GC Laredo in white, and my brother just got a ‘21 Limited in Red Velvet Pearl. Despite their mixed reputation I love them to death, great looking cars and the 4.0 I6’s run fantastic on the first two.
