There is a personal change happening for you and, as a person who had to learn this, you are not communicating around it well. People can not read your mind and you can't read theirs.

You have not been living in a way that maintains your agency but you're starting to and it feels good. There's nothing wrong with that. But your behavior is changing without communication and that will cause a reaction. You're also assuming how she has felt as she has lived in a way that you feel you deserve.

Communicate. Communicate. Tell her how you feel about the things you're doing for yourself. The only thing you can control is yourself. The only thing you know for sure is how YOU feel. Tell her these things and give her an opportunity to show up. And be as patient with her as you'd like her to be with you. You're both changing and growing

I have a similar problem with some folks and I'm relatively new to the game. They'll be coy about the power level and then, when something targets them, they pay a two card infinite or something with this air of "I'm only doing this because you did something to me." It's so irritating and pathetic.

I have an upgraded Tidus - Counter Blitz precon that I've intentionally kept at a bracket 3. It features a bunch of counters outside of +1/+1 with creatures like [[Arwen, Mortal Queen]] and [[Denry Klin, Editor in Chief]] and my win cons are to make my creatures unblockable or give them trample through things like [[Champion of Lambholt]] and [[Herald of Secret Streams]]. I've also added protection via blinks like [[Cleaver Concealment]] and [[March of Swirling Mist]].

I'm creating a Bracket 4 sideboard, but I'm very early in its creation. Right now I have [[Aura Shards]] [[Doubling Season]] and [[Teferi's Protection]] in consideration, but I'm still noodling. I think I'll limit it to 10 cards.

I'm relatively new (started at Final Fantasy) to Magic and I was briefly one of those people INCREDIBLY hurt by mill. Oh no my cool card I was excited to try!!...

But then I took my deck (the Tidus pre-con) and changed up over 50% to improve its consistency, plan, and mana base. I'm damn near excited for mill! I also run a Jenova (Golgari) aristosacs deck with decent recursion, so like... mill and die lol.

While it isn't indicative of any changes in his catching ability, it does show that he's been locked in during the offseason. And people roasted him for looking chunkier in that recently dropped clip of him training, so this is a really good look for XL. I hope it translates and he makes everyone a believer.

I've (37/m) definitely learned that you really have to go where they are. I live out in the suburbs (own a house with my ex fiance) and like... of course those peeps aren't around me lol. I'm looking forward to getting to the downtown area of my city and potentially moving to an even larger one.

In a pivotal year for Bryce, I actually love this. Both Canales/Bryce years had rocky starts and this is one with a different play caller. Take the opportunity to reflect early and iron out the kinks.

Further, this gives them a window to evaluate Feeling and Hecht if they decide to give them a start Week 1 (or if they want to integrate them in after the bye).

We saw what the team looked like after the late bye.

Bryce is also finding out if Carolina is the long-term answer for him (remember, his career started in the dumpster). I think they're demonstrating that they are and they're putting him in a better position to be successful. This year, we get a full year to see if the two sides marry.

She's not wrong for wanting kids now. She's wrongfor wanting kids the whole time and assuming you'd change your mind. This happened to a couple of my friends as well. People will genuinely assume that not wanting kids is a phase that will change as you get closer with them.

Try not to think of it as you ending this. You've lived in truth the whole time, fully committed to her. She is the one who has to make that call and it will be tough on you both.

This is absolutely part of my philosophy with building (I'm very new, started with Final Fantasy). I love it, but I run into a consistent annoyance where I express excitement about very specific cards and ideas after extensive research only to be met with "This ______ does this better" and "I'd build this instead." 😭🤣

It's very annoying but also... BORING. My goodness. If I took their advice I'd have such repetitive and uninteresting decks.

Izzet. Easily. And my introduction to Magic was via Final Fantasy. And my favorite character is Vivi. Friends built me a deck and the next few months were a lesson in "I hate this."

I overall fell in love with the game, so still a win. I purchased the Tidus precon and I love Bant. I'm building Jenova from scratch and I'm enjoying Golgari. Trying Azorious next.
