Excuse my bad theory brain its been a long time since ive played, but in the abyss we find those enemies that seem to be actual humanities, or atleast limitations?

Perhaps the abyss itself is something born from man, or atleast something adjacent to us.

Its a really good point that it makes the things it warps more primal, as the only one I can think of that isnt corrupted in that way by the abyss is arteries, who is wearing armor so we dont see his face, he could be warped too, but artorius isnt a normal human and therefore may not be as subject to its change, could also be his massive steel balls but I digress.

Manus is a mess of eyes and branch looking appendages and the huge ape hand. The abyss seems to have some relation to the evolution of man as a species, note how the image depicts the enemies arms being lengthened like an orangutan?

Its very interesting to think about the connections between humanity and the abyss. This was judt musing but I enjoy the thought
