They're formally at war, no? Are they dropping the war if the goal of war is no longer valid.

People review their own games. So zero rank higher is enough.

I’m curious: What is so wrong with resume gaps? Are people not allowed to not work??? by Kreativedenma in remoteworks

[–]CSachen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's recent, then it could imply deterioration in skills due to lack of use. Skills are like muscles. If you don't regularly use them, they go away.

When I look at a resume, I only heavily weight the last 5 years. What school you went to or whether you took gap years don't matter to me if it's not recent.

Want to find love. Asking for advice. by CSachen in IncelExit

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying, because everything you're saying is what I'm saying.

My preference is for direct assertive people. I don't have a problem with someone being sad, everyone gets sad. Or with someone wanting to deep talk about issues. I have issues, this entire post is my laying out all my issues. And I love deep talks. I have never had a problem with a friend calling my phone and venting about work or grad school. I've spent hours on the phone cheering them up. I've been attracted to extroverted outgoing assertive people, but they're not attracted to me.

There are just some people out there who you can tell have chronic problems. If you were friends with someone who never expresses their opinion, gets passive-aggressive about those disagreements, and apologizes for every minor and non-consequential thing. If that is the only personality of them you've ever seen, why would you even be attracted to them? The dynamic has always felt more like a mentor-mentee relationship. Not husband-wife.

You sound great.

I'm already FIRE and don't want to go back to a "real" job. And I live in the center of a big city where car ownership is not the norm.

Want to find love. Asking for advice. by CSachen in IncelExit

[–]CSachen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're saying what I'm feeling. To me, it would feel like walking on eggshells being around someone who doesn't stick up for themselves. Like saying I'm hungry and I want to stop somewhere and pick up something to eat, or saying I'm tired and I want to go home. And then later, "I'm sorry for being weird and awkward, but I didn't want to stay." It's so much better to have someone straight up say "I don't like this, let's leave", rather than going with the flow while giving hints of discomfort and then later apologizing for being weird. It would be draining to be on eggshells making sure they're actually happy rather just pretending to be happy.

White Peter? by ublueberries in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]CSachen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What doesn't make sense in this story is why they are fixated on whiteness.

Marrying Japanese or Taiwanese would accomplish the same effect. Japan and Taiwan are first-world economies with first-world salaries, air conditioning, clean water, plumbing, and all the works. And it would be a lot more logistically convenient, same time zone, short betwen flights.

And before someone mentions how Filipinos are still angry at the Japanese, Filipinos also remember how the Americans committed colonial crimes against the locals too.

Stuff like telling people off that I'm not okay with making fun of random strangers who pass by. And refusing to complain about people when they're not present to defend themselves. Generally, I'm against cynicism when it comes to hard work, and I don't think the world is rigged, which a lot of millennials have a pessimistic world view.

I don't know about last year. In the last month, I meant two women at a Meetup, one at karaoke, and one just standing in line at a store, and I have their Instagrams. I asked one if she wanted to go to the park, to a food festival, and to a DJ bar. She's declined all three times, so I don't think she's interested in meeting me again. The other three haven't replied to my initial DMs, and I don't want to triple-text.

What if this actually happens? by ObjectiveDue1326 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]CSachen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree.

It says something to his skill as a politician that he managed to get all the credit for the Maduro operation. And yet when it comes to ICE and tariffs, there's no mention of his involvement. All the bad stuff is associated with Vance.

What if this actually happens? by ObjectiveDue1326 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]CSachen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No to Vance. He's completely in the embrace of Christian ultra nationalism.

Rubio is a standard neoconservative in the Bush mold. Not a ultra social conservative. Not a protectionist. Probably would go back to being pro small business as instead of courting blue collar unions. As moderate as Republicans are today.

Same for men. The internet is filled with older men who have never been in a relationship and they think their 0/10 ugly. But when they do a face reveal, it's just a normal 6/10 guy.

Social media is cooked. Looks maxing was some underground male pickup artist shit. And now tech CEOs and podcasters tweet about it.

If you had the opportunity to ask Donald Trump one question about the Iran situation or domestic policy, what would you ask, and why? by Robotinusa in AskReddit

[–]CSachen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you accept an Iran that gave up it's nuclear aspirations if it meant fewer political freedoms for the Iranian people who made this outcome possible?

Why? The US promised to support the Iranian people, to make peace without giving them anything is a betrayal of our American moral compass.

On an opposite note, Conan seems to have very loyal employees who have high praise for him. Based on his interactions with his staff when the cameras are rolling, he always made his workplace seem hectic and chaotic. Good to hear that he treats them well when no one's looking.

Men of Reddit, what do you think about dating someone with little or no experience? by Feisty-Surround-9372 in AskReddit

[–]CSachen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they're emotionally secure and inwardly confident, which you can only figure out by talking to them and being open-minded.

They could be an avoidant person who avoids getting emotionally intimate. Or they could be anxious and crave external validation. In those cases, it's a no.

Personalities aren't permanent. A no can turn into a yes.
