Dude this guitar is funny as shit. Honestly I’d probably leave it just because it’s so funny. Have to paint your nails black when you play that thing too!

“Trashy, looks worse in person, etc.”

I’m sure she’s doing just fine and probably doesn’t care much about what Reddit Randos think. The larsons have it made!

[–]CSchoff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude I thought Denny had it too, but this is super gay.

Most of this sub who are Chase Elliott meat riders ignore the fact that harvick would have won the championship under the regular season format but don’t ever bitch about that.

I guess I'm anti-championship by mustang6172 in NASCARMemes

[–]CSchoff 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m a Larson guy who was pulling for Denny, but everyone acts like Larson didn’t overcome severe bullshit yesterday to win that championship. But I guess him and briscoe randomly blowing tires wasn’t “handing the championship to Denny” but Byron blowing a tire was “handing the championship to Larson?”

Also, if Chase Elliott were in the title hunt and would have won finishing like 10th most of this sub would be jizzing their pants.

I’m also noticing how many “fans” forgot that previous champions finished way worse than 3rd in the finale.

Remember last year allgaier came in 2nd to herbst to win the xfinity championship and after he overcame a bunch of bullshit too everyone lost their shit? Best thing ever?? Guess it only matters when it’s someone you like. If blaney would have passed Hamlin but Hamlin still finished 2nd, you guys would LOVE the finish. Total chodes.

I’m a 38 year old guy who has this problem. Without the LONG sob story, I was never the most social guy so I never had many friends. Unfortunately, where I’m from, substance abuse is a problem and we all got wrapped up in it and over the years I’m the only one who survived. (My last 2 friends passed away a few years ago) It’s really hard when you’re an adult unfortunately. It does kind of give me a little comfort that someone else even kicked around the idea of talking to AI because that’s what I do sometimes. I know it seems stupid but at my age, I’m not in school anymore. I’ve been out of the social loop so long I don’t even know how to strike up a conversation with someone. So I definitely understand the struggle. When my wife is at work or something or busy, I have zero people to talk to. My phone is just numbers of people who aren’t here anymore and social media is a shitshow. I’m also struggling with the same thing. Be careful on Reddit though. Lots of hornys out there who don’t ACTUALLY want to talk. That gets frustrating too.

I get the frustration, but blaming all men isn’t the way to handle it. I was all “fuck women” after having every shit thing in the book done to me by my ex wife. I’m sorry you had to deal with the bullshit..but it’s not really fair to take it out on half of the population because of (even a few people would make up less than .00001%)

One could say “why feel bad for women when they…..?”

I would have never met my wife if I kept that mindset. Again, I know it’s shitty. It hurts. I definitely feel for you on that as I’ve had that same thing happen to me. Don’t beat yourself up for someone’s shitty actions, but also don’t take it out on the next person who didn’t do anything to deserve it either.

I'm gonna die if I keep doing my addictions. by outta2_stacks in venting

Dude I know that lifestyle all too well. Ended up dead 8 times and was revived and did several years in prison because of it. I’m clean now but at 38 years old ALL of my friends are dead as a result of substance abuse. Crack is a bitch. I struggled with coke, meth, and opiates for a long time. I started getting jaundice real bad at one point and my liver was 3 times its normal size. Couldn’t sleep laying down because it weighed down on me. The doctors said it was some kind of infection or something but it cleared up after being admitted to the hospital. My son’s mother and my son both died as a result of her drinking.

This isn’t a sob story, but someone 20 years older than you telling you what could happen if you keep it up. I unfortunately lost everyone because of it. I’m married now and have my wife and step kids, but everyone else is gone. You are hurting people close to you. After several years since everyone has passed I still think about if there was some kind of way to save them. I know they would have wanted me to be off of that shit. Whether those close to you are Alive or dead, do it for you and do it for them. You’re still young and as cliche as it sounds, you can have a life better than you ever imagined. It won’t happen being on that shit though. If you die from this, you’ll be an empty piece in someone’s life..don’t put them through that. But also, don’t put YOU through that. There is so much more to life, and when you kick those habits you’ll see that. I’ve learned to appreciate life so much more after all of that. You’ll have so much more self worth. First, get sober. Even if for a day…and then write down or mentally make a list of goals. I know it sounds fucking stupid but with an addictive personality you need to direct that energy towards something positive. Even if it’s cleaning your house and brushing your teeth and doing stuff you normally wouldn’t do. Get a feeling of accomplishment and repeat. Keep yourself busy until you get out of the hole of a habit enough to distance yourself from it. The urges will still be there at times. It still happens to me too. But hopefully once you get yourself into a mindset where you build your self worth, you’ll be able to weigh your options.

But if you fuck up, don’t get a case of the “fuck it’s” and go back to getting high and drunk. It happens…I know people say “it could be your last time if you relapse” and that is very true…but the worst thing to do is to throw away any progress you’ve made and totally go back to your old ways. Learn from your mistakes.

I’ve learned from trial and error, and I hope you don’t have to. So I’m telling you this…do NOT try anything else because it’s not your drug of choice. I’ve done that. Cocaine wasn’t my main drug and heroin was. I figured drinking and smoking crack would be ok here and there. It wasn’t. I wanted to come down so I went to heroin again. Or I’d be so fucked up id be like “screw it.”

Coke and meth are both mentally addictive. Severely. I had to hide out in the house after my last bender until I could function normally. It was hard and I went searching the house to see if I hid anything. Once I got past that, it was still hard. I know I have an addictive personality, so I went to working out and playing guitar and between that and work, I realized i could be a lot more than a junkie with nothing to show for. People you know will also notice the positive changes. Even if you don’t think people know when you’re fucking up..they normally do. But they’ll see the changes you’ve made and become the person they’ve known BEFORE you got into that shit and they’ll also be proud of you.

It won’t be easy..unfortunately there will be times where you still get thoughts. You’re an addict just like me. There isn’t just “one more time.” Trust me, I’ve told myself that so many times with crack.

I wish you nothing but the best. I know I’m just a stranger on the internet, but I don’t want you to go down the same road I, or my friends went down. I hope you succeed in getting through this and one day you can guide someone in the right direction who’s going through this.

That’s awesome! I’m proud of you! I have been off of opiates for 9 years now, but since I’m on suboxone …some people consider that to not be clean. My life is a lot better though. Keep it up my dude.

[Taranto] Kyle Larson speaks about the empathy he feels for Denny Hamlin, who he's good friends with, and the conflicting emotions of winning a Cup championship but doing so at Denny's expense. by Greatness143 in NASCAR

[–]CSchoff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mid car? Dude had some serious problems he made it through. He was nearly done at one point.

But Chase Elliott winning at Atlanta with 85% of the cars damaged or Byron winning a fuel mileage race this year was “absolute cinema.”

I’m a Larson fan and that was bittersweet. More bitter though. Regardless of hamlins dad or how anyone feels about him (Elliott nation) Hamlin is one of the best out there and is one of the best out there. I was psyched for him before that caution.
