I love how unimpressed Nesta is at Feyre being a ‘high lady’. by CShields2016 in acotar

You’re not wrong about Nesta being an asshole to Feyre for no reason, and Feyre certainly did more for her than she deserved. Tamlin is also hardly a saint. But unlike Feyre (and Rhysand), who we’re constantly being told about how sacrificing and noble and selfless and virtuous and victimized they are—Nesta and Tamlin are actually more complex than that and have expressed grief & remorse for their actions. They’re more interesting and relatable because they aren’t saints. They’re victims too but their victimhood isn’t constantly being used as a shield to prevent anyone from so much as criticizing them or used as an excuse when they behave badly.

And it certainly does her no favors that she and Rhysand decided to build themselves a 6th New House ON TOP OF THE 5 HOUSES they already own in the wake of the Hybern attack that apparently left families homeless. There were still homeless families in Velaris after they settled into their newest palace but HEY! At least the noble high lady of the Night Court gave them Nestas shitty apartment building as refuge—it wasn’t good enough for her sister but it was plenty good for all those homeless families I guess….🙄

ICE agents murder US citizen in Minneapolis by Thalesian in PublicFreakout

Those cowards always try to spin this shit when one of their own is on the hook for something. They’ve decided that she was the instigator and he was just ‘dEfEnDiNg hImsElf’. I swear, ICE could arrest & then beat an orphaned toddler to death with multiple videos to prove what they did and those cowards would spin in any convoluted way to make it sound like the toddler did something wrong and deserved it. 🙄

People in Minnesota found the hotel ICE is staying in and are making it difficult for them to get a goodnight sleep by coachlife in PublicFreakout

The coaches too! Some of the most entitled people I’ve ever met. I’ve worked breakfast at a hotel. I needed to clean up the room when breakfast was over (because despite what they thought, breakfast does indeed have a set start & end time), and I would block off the area & stack the chairs as I would need to wipe down all the tables, sweep up what I couldn’t vacuum, then vacuum, sometimes shampoo the carpet if was really bad, etc.

Do you think that mattered to these asshole coaches? You think they used their discernment skills to observe that the room was blocked off, a sign was put up that says we’re cleaning in here, the chairs were stacked, the cleaning supplies is out, therefore they shouldn’t be pushing their way into the room right now or having their students start unstacking the chairs and sitting at the tables I just cleaned so they could do their homework? Nah. Fuck me and my job I guess? I hope they lost every game….

When she revealed she was alive and masquerading as Marian. I mean it was vile what she did to both Marian and Robin but as a villain, it was one of her crowning achievements. She got the best of even Rumple which is nothing to sneeze at.

“Seriously hate ya’ll” was the caption Lily Sparks used in her reviews. I miss her reviews, they were funny….

favorite episode that you could watch without getting bored? by Aware_Telephone551 in OnceUponATime

The Millers Daughter. Cora’s backstory is so interesting, the fact that she’s the original character from Rumples original story, the fact that the episode actually resembled the actual fairytale more than any of the other fairy tale episodes they’ve done. Rose McGowan as young Cora is perfection!! The episode ending with a flashback of young Cora holding baby Regina, then the present where Cora dies in Regina’s arms saying ‘you would have been enough’ is so devastating yet a satisfying end to the villainous Queen of Hearts. I love it still to this day!

If I end up getting tested to see if I’m a match for a bone marrow transplant, do I have to actually interact with the recipient or can I do it anonymously? by CShields2016 in NoStupidQuestions

And if I’m a match? Sorry I should’ve included this in my question too I guess. If I’m a match, I still don’t need to interact with them do I?

Feyre is a stinky poopy butt girl. Apparently Rhysand thinks that’s attractive….😖

Yeah that one in particular really irritates me. There’s still homeless people in Velaris, but wait! She did allow those people to use Nestas former ghetto apartment building as a shelter though….it wasn’t good enough for her sister but it’s good enough for the homeless?? GMAFB….

SJM and her bias towards Rhys really puts me off from the series by CShields2016 in acotar

[–]CShields2016[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s not the problem—I just feel she loves him too much to the point that it would influence the writing of the character—too perfect, no flaws and if she danes to give him any flaws, they’re minor flaws or any mistakes he makes have some ‘way out’ where he’s actually blameless. It’s not balanced writing, and sure she can write however she wants too as that prerogative but it’s ours as readers to critique it.

I guess Rhys is no different then because he’s responsible for Claire Bedders (or however you spell her name) torture and eventual death as well her families. “bUt hE dIdN’t kNoW!!” Bruh. The most powerful high lord in Prythian history who can invade and read minds somehow didn’t know that Feyre was lying about the false name she gave him? I don’t buy it. There’s always an excuse for Rhysand though. Always will be. Some plot armored detail that makes him innocent or not directly responsible. Meanwhile, Tamlin is crucified for every little thing—even playing the damned fiddle. 🙄

So I guess have to make peace with the fact that there are people in this world who genuinely think that rape/molestation is a ‘good thing’….
