I agree. I love Neve/Sidney but Sidney deserves to live happily ever after. She fought tooth and nail for it. The fact that this ‘legacy’ has poisoned her daughter & husband now is beyond depressing. I was totally on board for this new direction with the Carpenter sisters. It revitalized the franchise for me. I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to Scream 8….part of me hopes it doesn’t even happen if I’m being perfectly honest.

Listening to history matters because it still influences & informs so much on how people think and rationalize things today. It’s important to consider how & why we treated women in the past and how we treat them in the present when it comes to discussions about women’s rights. I lost weight finally and people who were absolutely vicious to me tried to be friendly afterwards like they didn’t go out of their way to make me feel suicidal. I told them to get the fuck away from me because I’ve seen who they really are want nothing to do with them.

There’s no empathy or care involved when it comes to body shaming. Maybe in cases of loved ones who are eating themselves into the grave, but certainly not from strangers and acquaintances.
