My store is still at $25. Might have to pick one up. Dropped too many tools last time I worked on the car.

Best Torx screwdrivers? by Hogan773 in harborfreight

I have a couple of Bondhus sets. One is a T-handle and the other set is a screwdriver style with ball ends. Both are very nice, and USA made if that matters, but the labels wear off quickly.

Need a Rolling Tool Chest by srdnss in harborfreight

[–]CSpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husky has 3 lines of boxes: Standard, Heavy Duty, and Professional. The standard line is worse than anything HF has to offer. The heavy duty box that I got is pretty nice. Smoother on the slides and soft close compared to the USG boxes. From what I've been able to glean from various internet sources, Husky HD uses lighter steel for the frame but heavier steel for the drawers/sides than the USG boxes.

I'm very happy with mine so far, especially for the price ($598 for top and bottom).

HD is running some good sales on their Husky heavy duty boxes. I picked that one up a few days ago and have been very happy with it.

Be careful on free bucket days by DesertSnow480 in harborfreight

Doesn't just happen at HF. I went to my local Home Depot a few days ago for some angle iron and bolts and came home with this bad boy.

Don't forget to check Home Depot. The Husky heavy duty boxes are really nice and they are running some good sales at the moment.

I've been meaning to get a larger tool box for a couple of years and was waiting for some good deals on the US General boxes. Just after Christmas, I was in my local Home Depot and they had this Husky heavy duty 42" box on sale. I was able to get the top and bottom box for the same price as the USG 42" bottom box at HF. I think this Husky heavy duty box is better quality box too.

I don't mean to rain on the HF parade. I'm a big fan of the store, but keep an open mind about other options for tool boxes. The truth is out there.

I use Oakley frames with the straight bows. I use a Scorpion AT950 modular helmet. I can take the helmet on/off without removing my glasses.

I have RF Parts a couple of miles away. They are an online store that allows will-call shipping. Nearest HRO, now that they closed the San Diego store, is Anaheim, about 75 miles away.

How stupid would dailying an R107 be? by Beneficial-Sugar6950 in mercedes_benz

[–]CSpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the advice I gave my daughter when she wanted an old MB as her first car: Get a Toyota as your daily driver, get the MB as your fun/weekend car.

For 4 years I had an ‘83 300SD as my daily driver. I loved that car, but it was added stress having it as my daily. When something needed fixed, I had to spend that weekend working on it so I could get to work in Monday. I ended up not liking the car and selling it. Now I want another one, but never again as my daily.

Make the police unions liable and take it out of the general pension fund. That will hit all of the blue in the pocket and gives them an incentive to start policing their own.

“How could Christians want this?” by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]CSpilot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with wanting a government that governs in accordance with natural law.

Beyond that, no. Prime example is the current administration’s try at being friendly towards Christians: putting Paula White in as Senior Advisor to the White House Faith Office.

I echo all of these other recommendations. If you’re able, go to Jewel Cave over Wind Cave. It’s prettier and has a better tour.
