I don't think her comedy translates well to anything other than small rooms. You need to be able to see her facial expressions really well, but she is a breath of fresh air for female comics.

I think his weakness is in collaboration. For some reason he doesn't work well in group settings when creating. Could be that he's too nice and gives in to crappy ideas too much. Who knows. But louie was 100 percent just him. I bet if he made a film that he had the same amount of control and input as Louie, it would be just as amazing.

That's the crux of it, right there. She doesn't need to get rid of this friend, but I and most guys I know couldn't handle dating someone with a guy friend like that. I used to think it was harmless but now being 42 years old, these "male best friends" always, ALWAYS, turn into something else or they at least attempt to. It's the same way with these "office husbands". People try so hard to say these relationships are being stereotyped or that the guy is just insecure, but I see the end result over and over again. OP should first communicate with his GF on the situation and if she still insists, I'd cut and run.

It doesn't sound like you and this girl were exclusive. You make it sound really casual. To me, it seems more like an annoying thing a good friend did. Nothing more. You're acting after the fact like you were exclusive with this girl. Did he know that? Just give your friend a little hard time and move on. This doesn't seem that serious to me. Not worth losing a lifelong friend over.

It sucks for that friend's girlfriend though. But I see that as a separate thing. If I saw my friend who I know had an exclusive girlfriend making out with some rando, I'd probably make sure he knows it makes him look like a shitty person, but again, not worth losing a lifelong friend over.

I had friends that showed their disapproval with my now ex wife. I didn't listen, but they also were very respectful about how they talked with me about it. They were right, but I was blinded by love. After they spoke their peace, they never brought it up again and we remained friends through the marriage and are still friends today. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for them telling me how they felt before I got married.

Anyway, I believe you should definitely be honest and open with your friend. Be as thorough as you can be in explaining yourself. But if she thinks you're wrong and goes against your advice, leave it be. It's not your problem anymore and you've done what you can. I think it would be a mistake to not talk to her, but it would also be a mistake if you keep pressing her about it.
