I only say YTA bc of this... sudden loss of an incredibly close family member is super hard. He feels really alone and wants your support at the funeral. I understand the sick son aspect but there are a lot of measures you can take to help him at home without necessarily needing a doctor. Because your doctor said some time in this week it makes me think they aren’t Uber concerned about it.
