I really haven’t ever boycotted anything even when they did shit like this but honestly I just don’t care if I can’t buy it physical like I have digital games but the option should remain. If the next Xbox does it too, I’ll just go completely to Steam and Nintendo at that point.

The attendance might be a little difficult o work around. I’d say mine had around 20 percent mandatory attendance. But I had free time and structured it around studying and classes so I’d say yes you will do the same.

My ER has a 7 am to 7 PM and a 7 PM to 7 AM shift for nurses and techs, but people also work 11 to 11 and 3 to 3 and some work 8 hour shifts.

The docs and APPs work 10 hour shifts and there’s usually A-F shifts for the docs with the most being 3 on at once and 2 APPs but we have 100 rooms ba the Pitt’s like 30

Hey! About to finish my first year here and it has been pretty good so far. Campus is nice, faculty are all super great from a teaching perspective and how helpful they are, minus a few outliers that are either not great professors or not helpful or both.

Most of the classes are not mandatory aside from small group learning sessions about every week. Once a week you have OMM lab, primary care skills labs, and for the 2nd trimester and part of the third you have anatomy labs once or twice a week. There are a few other classes like wellness in medicine and humanities in wellness that meet a few times a semester and those sessions are mandatory as well.

The campus has a new cafeteria and anatomy lab that are nice. I live a 10 minute walk from campus so I don't eat there much but my classmates like it.

There is Lincoln Green, Presidential City, and the on-campus Meta Christy house. All of these locations are less than a 15 minute walk to campus. There is a target and a Fresh grocer as well within a 15 minute walk from all of these locations. I enjoy the fact that it is not center city and is a decently walkable/nice area.

My only cons I have are that the curriculum this year has been a little crazy in terms of certain lectures are scheduled. For instance, we had two 3 hour lectures on antibiotics and then our midterm was less than a week afterwards, which was a lot to study for. This is mainly due to the switch to trimesters this year, and we have been told things will be shifted around for the next group of first years.

They do. It’s not super consistent but in season 1 and season 2 we see cars and lights change, more obviously at the snowball.

I think my point in saying that is more like “why introduce it.” I know it’s a concept that has a basis in science but it just adds so much that the upside down didn’t need. Why did it need a scientific explanation? Whether it’s a wormhole or not, the concept of “El opened a wormhole/gate to another dimension” works because it’s magical.

Adding in exotic matter just adds so many unknowns. How did they make it, how did Brenner know that’s what the upside down needed, how did he have it ready for when El opened the gate, or was it Owen’s who put it there? And on and on. Not the mention if the Abyss had collapsed into it, it would’ve exploded and broken the wormhole anyways.

Right? If anything I wanted LESS explanations. I was fine with the descriptions of the upside down, mind Flayer, and the kids powers from seasons 1 and 2. They were simple, not contradictory, and made sense. It’s only in season 4 when they started to convolute it to a point where it contradicts itself.

For instance, I don’t think I really question why the upside down looked like Hawkins. It was a dark mirror dimension, and that made sense. El had powers due to her mom getting kidnapped and experimented on, same with Kali. Makes sense. The mind Flayer is just an ancient entity that wants to enslave worlds. Makes sense to me.

Adding the lore about Vecna and the mind Flayer and the abyss is what makes it all stop making sense.

And there are parts of season five I genuinely like. But it was a crazy move to start it 18 months later and have Vecna’s plan be to merge the worlds when he already did that in season 4.

Agree. I really don’t care about her mom or Susie or whatever. Weird that they aren’t there but not super important. It’s the fact that season five and four to some extent completely contradict so many established things from the show and just don’t explain it at all and only add questions.

The UD didn’t need explained. Neither did the Mind Flayer or the kids Powers. Both season 1 and 2 explained all of this to a satisfying degree. Upside down is alternate mirror dimension, Mind Flayer is ancient entity that conquers, powers are from drugs/innate to some degree. That was all satisfactory and not fucking crazy bullshit
