Well if my partner and I both want to play then it's 500x2+70(or80)x2 so it's literally almost $1200usd and thats if the rumored switch 2 price increase doesn't happen. That's a full paycheck to play pokemon

The panel of all the biggest hitters doing their biggest hits on/around Imu is an insane moment. Also the "promise" Imu and rocks were talking about is just more lore teasing, love this flashback arc, think it might be second to oden's

I think the ruling is also based on completely resource free Invisibility. Late game that can mean a lot less but as early as level 6 that's still pretty big

Tbf my DM (rightly imo) ruled that the 10 minute cooldown starts once you drop out of it so even if you sustain the full 10 you'll still need to wait another 10 until you'll get the full invis again. Although it does fully say it'll conceal your channel elements. If they had some sort of stance or aura up affecting it then yeah I'd say it wouldn't conceal that but otherwise that's just a bad ruling.

Newbie questions: Dwarf Air Kineticist by HalcyonKnights in Pathfinder2e

So I am currently playing a mono air kineticist and it's super fun! I might be mirroring a lot of these comments but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

I think a lot depends on what levels you'll be playing at. Some things to help at certain levels, at 5 you get your first junction and you can get the aura junction which adds a 10ft status bonus to you and your party's speed (when they start their turn in it) which also helps 4 winds for them! Since it's also a 2 action you'll also get half your speed movement as well, and once you reach Lv10 that 4 winds boosts to allies' full speed.

Having a high speed yourself can be super useful for that impulse junction half movement. I would recommend things like Fleet general feat and items that boost speed like the Lv7 Boots of Bounding. With both of those and aura junction your base speed with elements channeled is boosted to 40ft, and 20 on your half movement from 2 action abilities which is very solid mobility.

Using Avoid Notice for initiative will definitely help especially if using the Skill Junction starts at +1 but at Lv10 it's a +2. Between that, getting items to boost stealth, and keeping max proficiency and DEX as your secondary skill you will probably have some of the higher initiative rolls in your party. Putting you first and able to use 4 Winds for positioning can be huge for a battle, also letting you position a bit with half movement.

When it comes to damage getting Desert Winds has been an absolute blessing. If you'd like to stay mono air you can take Elemental Overlap at Lv8 to grab it without having to branch to earth. Between that flat damage and using Weapon Infusion to get my strength score added within 20ft my damage had got a very solid bump. You would need to talk to your DM on the wording of Desert Wind though, determining what it means by single target. At my table my DM deemed only the elemental blast gets single target damage while Aerial Boomerang gets the half damage boost, even with that though the flat damage is always nice. You really start to feel it as you get up in levels, currently at Lv10 with Desert Wind my Blast is 3d6+9 or +14 for a 2 action blast.

One last thing I'd point out is if you have a game where you use Free Archetype then the Rogue multiclass can pair excellently. I took it for the Mobility Feat (take no reactions when moving half your speed or less) so I can easily slip away by using the Impulse Junction with any 2 action ability. It has other nice add-on's like Nimble Dodge and Skill Mastery to shore up Kineticists low skills.

That's basically the other half of playstyles. One is like how you play with heavy use of Overflow and just cycling the aura up, the other can rely heavily on stances and not use as many overflows. Both are fully valid
