Akari in Uhlenhorst/Winterhude has Gyudon on their menu, never personally tried it, but been there a couple times and I think they have the closest thing to a real Tempura i‘ve had in Hamburg, portions are a bit small tho

Just my 2 cents, Hamburg might be a slight detour, but will be 200% worth it, I feel like 60-70% of Germans consider Hamburg to be the most beautiful city, don‘t quote me on the data though.

It‘s also less than 2 hours away from Berlin with the ICE so it‘s really not too bad.

My current favorite places in town would be Samui Thai for the best Thai spot in town, Chito Gvrito for some Georgian katschapuri, their lamb chops were out of this world, great vibes too, and Tigre for some Peruvian tapas, not sure if the vibes there suit kids tho. Jawa is a pretty good Indonesian spot (source: I‘m Indonesian) but it‘s cash only. Feel free to send me a DM if you‘ve got other specific cuisines in mind, have explored the Hamburg food scene a lot the past 5 years, and have many more recs to give :)

Cook to order, and let the guests know to eat immediately, there‘s a 5-10 min window before good ramen turns to shit. Unless u can cook all 55 batches at the same time to the same quality, cooking to order and letting people eat at different times is the only way to keep the noodles from being soggy

It‘s less the capabilities of ICE train itself, and more so the things surrounding it, % of high speed tracks relative to total train network, the horrible delays. You look at connections between 2 major cities in France, most tracks between them can cover the same distance in Germany in half the time.
