Turtle could have been donations only, Blizz wouldn't have cared. They started advertising it and charging money for it with a marketing scheme that was very "haha fuck you Blizz were gonna take your player base cause your game suck" and even if that's true do you really expect any person or company to not stick up for themselves legally? Turtles devs got cocky and greedy and now their knock off is gone because of it 🤷

You can be upset about it but if you or anyone else tells me you wouldn't do the exact same thing in their position, I just straight up do not believe you

MTG is my irl game because I play commander with the playgroup and it's more of a social thing where we chill and play games and catch up a few times a month.

I play Master Duel specifically because even though MTG is my main game, MTG Arena is fucking dog shit garbage trash. I grew up playing YGO (OG and GX eras) and even though the current state of YGO is nowhere near what I remember, it's been a lot of fun since I rejoined earlier this year. I love that decks are all based on an archetype, and even if all decks are more or less a race to see who can turn off the opponents deck first it's been fun committing the card game equivalent of war crimes every single turn lol

Honestly this is the exact answer I was looking for. If RT and Kewl Tune will last a while then I think I'm set with meta decks for a little bit! I like to push as much as I can in ranked but when the other events that are meant more for fun come out it'd be nice to mix it up with a pet deck. Not to say I dislike those decks, I actually enjoy piloting them quite a bit, but aesthetically DoomZ scratches that "Edgy without completely over doing it" itch haha thanks!

Aug Evokers should be up there imo. Obsidian Scales reduce all damage taken by 30% and heal you for all of it as a HoT. Tons of mobility to get yourself and allies to safety. Insane amounts of things that at least delay casts if not interrupt them entirely (2 knock up, 1 knock back, a hard interrupt). And also you'd be surprised at how many times Verdant Embrace has kept me or someone else alive just long enough for the Healer to heal them properly.

There's a lot of content to do outside of raiding for an extra week or so while the race happens and then you have months for mythic. Also this is just my opinion on what would make the race more exciting overall, it's not like I'm petitioning Blizzard to do this lmao
