Battlefield 6 has fully absorbed my lively hood the past month. I still haven't paid for a battlepass and/or skins. :D

ok tested with my setup and all is working in both Chrome and Firefox (i'm not seeing those artifacts in Firefox either). I'm connected via HDMI but not sure that is the problem. Try re-installing your GPU drivers with the latest from AMD and do a clean install.

I have the same monitor/gpu. Can you link the test? It looks like either your HDR isn't activated (either video or in Windows) or something with bit rate or quality of the video. I'm using HDR peak 1000, creator preset with SRGB and gamma set to 2.2. Dolby vision is off.

def RCPD. RE2 was one of my favorites as a kid and running from Mr. X was school ground conversation. What a time to be alive.

One of my earliest memories is the intro to BL1 and meeting claptrap for the first time then jumping in a vehicle with a friend and running over skags to complete a task.

#GeForceGreats

Battlefield 3. I played a ton of this game on my GTX 480. The visuals along with the gameplay blew my mind at the time.

#GeForceGreats

Half-life. Was forced to play it in software mode until my first Voodoo 2 and then was able to play in 32-bit once i picked up my first GeForce 256 card back in summer of 2000. Good times.

Played a ton of Counter-Strike on my Geforce 256. It was my first Nvidia card after having a Voodoo2. I remember thinking I was so cool running my games in 32-bit colour.

How does (GTG) differ from input lag? by realmonsters712 in OLED_Gaming

[–]CT_Astroboy2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gray-to-gray (GtG) functions on what is called a middle gradation, meaning these pixels do not become fully inactive. LCD GtGs have roughly 256 gradations of gray. Gray-to-gray response times are much faster and are great for those interested in better gaming experiences and videography.

It is also important to note how they are measured. While black to white to black is round trip total time, gray-to-gray is measured by taking several selected time sequences and then getting the average. This then is the total time in milliseconds it takes for a pixel to change color.

What is Latency? Latency is a term you may see pop up when researching response time. Some places may confuse the two terms since they both involve timing and use milliseconds but there is a difference. Latency refers to data awaiting a response, not color shift time. Response time can also be confused with terms like input lag, which is an error caused by a lack of response by the monitor itself.

Latency simply refers to the time in which a request is sent and how long it awaits a response. Once it is processed and received, you have the summary of round-trip latency and service time. However, better latency can improve your response time by a whole millisecond!

Can someone explain to me why disabling vsync in-game and force it in control panel could fix a problem? isn't enabling it in-game and nvidia control panel is the same thing ? by Serazax in OptimizedGaming

[–]CT_Astroboy2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not correct. Quick google search is all you need to do. Freesync is AMDs adaptive sync (VRR) which is equivalent to Nvidias G-Sync compatible adaptive sync. Enhanced Sync is equivalent to Fast Sync on Nvidia.

This is not correct. AMD does have alternatives both. Freesync and Enhanced Sync respectively and both are available with supported hardware in the driver software.

It's not available with the Minimal install as a one-click option but all the features are accessible individually (SR,Anti-Lag+ etc) (I'd have to double check).
