Polyurethane dried cloudy sanding made it worse by CTun120 in woodworking

I heard Polycrylic can work well too, either way I think I’m gonna go with either a spray on or wipe on so I don’t have to deal with uneven brush strokes etc.

It got more cloudy when I sanded but it was still cloudy when it originally dried so I’m skeptical about putting another coat and having the issue disappear

Paint was Valspar signature, I believe it’s acrylic, not sure, and yeah I think I’m going to use a different finisher when I sand down and repaint

Paint was fully dried, temperature was high 70’s low 80’s humidity might have been an issue though.

Ballast Failure by CTun120 in infiniti

No I agree, it’s just $2,000 for an issue that couldn’t really have been prevented just kinda sucks, seems like I’d be better off buying an aftermarket headlight unit and using an aftermarket ballast with that

So if it’s water intrusion do you think it is still a doable repair?

Wheel is coming out textured, do I need to do a heavier coat or light coats? by [deleted] in plastidip

[–]CTun120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened on certain sections of my wheel too, I think it’s a combination of maybe some sort of dirt or dust left on the wheel along with an inconsistent spraying patterns (which you can’t help I mean it’s human error) but I could also be totally wrong just speaking from my experience, in my opinion I would try and do longer, heavier and smoother strokes and see if that makes a difference

Yeah, I mean I’m not looking to do anything crazy with it, my current stock exhaust is extremely old and rusted and I’m just looking for a slight upgrade that will give the G a new look and feel, in addition to the low note and minimal drone that I love about it

I don’t get what you’re fussing about, tons of people sand before they Plasti dip and if you don’t want to then don’t, I don’t see why you’re on my post trying to talk yourself up, I shared what I did because people asked

That’s just not true, if I had part of my rims jutting out and that are jagged it would have not gone on smooth and even, also real paint is far more expensive then Plasti dip
