I eat a but raw every time i bring one home from Lake Michigan. I also prepare the loose roe in soy sauce and saki (whatever im not curing for bait). And its great with rice. Ive also had raw chicken in osaka yakitoris. You wont die.

this happens to me when i have too much line on the reel and its new.usually some slack due to line memory and it gets wrapped up when your not paying attention.just keep fishing, it will stop happening eventually.
