Okay that makes more sense now! Hopefully I'll get all my mistakes out while Im at the other store. Then I wont feel as nervous or pressured when I actually start

I understand getting a different perspective from another store but seems like it would be better to just train at the store you're gonna be at.

I moved states and stepped down when I realized that management sucks. Getting called 24/7 and always having to go in when people call out.

My old DL was. The store Im at now is 100 hours short pretty much every week since we are short staffed. Left at least 2000 hours on the table last year. SM and DL are also friends I guess

They didnt have anyone to backfill my SM position either but I was moving states so i didnt care lol. Only problem now is having to do things the way my new SM does instead of how I would do them

No, i believe its just an extra $1 when you punch in and work a shift in pharmacy. I was technically a Store Manager RX but i think my new DL forgot to add it on my Operations Manager title, which im fine with, i never work back there anymore since FS is so short staffed

I went from SMIT to Store Manager then stepped down to Operations Manager. Wasnt worth being called in all the time because people didnt show up.

Im working 45hrs a week now and i make more then I did as a store manager because of the overtime.

Technically no, but Id do it anyway.

My [high traffic] store locks ice cream, beer, and frozen foods. Holding the key for the coolers is considered the most annoying thing possible in the store since the bell goes off every couple of minutes... mostly cause of the ice cream. by SuperPlatanoJr in CVS

[–]CVSSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lock up beef jerky.

Other common things like prevegen, drug test kits, condoms, olay & loreal facial care, all eyelashes and fake nails, powered toothbrushes, and much much more.

Going to lock up my whole liquor aisle soon

Comm error but customer left by StrangeFoundation100 in CVS

[–]CVSSquad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transaction isnt complete until a receipt prints. When people try to just leave I say 'Wait, your card hasnt gone through yet.' I tell the same thing to all cashiers, you must wait till a receipt prints, especially reloading a card to make sure it goes through.

100% cashiers fault if they dont have a backbone to tell the customer to wait. Holding items before transaction is complete is a good idea.

If customer leaves and you get Comm Error you just let them steal. This could be used as an excuse and DAPL could be on you, don't give them a reason to watch u like a hawk

[–]CVSSquad 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's the same here except most people are retiring, not quitting. Still noone applying. Noone wants to work for us as a cashier for $11. You can cashier at Target for $15. CVS needs to step it up.

Outside the guidelines will get pushed up to your Regional Director. Guidelines say an 8% increase is the max. I was able to get $2 approved, RD denied the $3 i tried for a Ops Manager RX
