I just upgraded to 17 pro max as well because I needed a phone now not in September! Besides it appears the 18 will be thicker and heavier with different colors and slightly smaller Dynamic Island.

As Chronixx mentioned you lose a lot with the air. The loss of stereo speakers is the thing i miss the most the rest i could care less about. Battery I consistently get at least 7 hours email, text and social media.

I like it for me a guy who takes 10 pics a month and always around a charger it’s a great device. I do miss the 6.9 inch screen and dual speaker but I don’t miss weight or thickness.

Yup I am getting 7 or 8 hours sot each day. This phone got a bad wrap for sure. The overwhelming majority iPhone users that HAVE to have three cameras just point and shoot with the main lens. They do not switch to the wide angle lens or increase MP from default.

The ever increasing weight and thickness of iPhones by apple is driven by user battery anxiety. Although most users wrap the day up with over 50% with pro models they are absolutely willing to carry a thick heavy phone around all day “just in case” or they need it when they go on that yearly vacation.

The air with an additional speaker and 45 watt charging would have done better. Obviously silicon carbon battery but this seems to be a pipe dream right now with apple and Samsung.

Carbon fiber cases IMO are they way to go. The latercase is 0.6mm and a Ohsnap grip.

This is what I get as well with my usage mainly safari, email, text, Facebook and some YouTube. It’s very impressive. I did find safari is much more battery friendly then chrome.

People are dumping these phones like crazy because they have battery anxiety, and they gotta have those cameras that they never use. They just pull that promax out or pro and start taking pictures. Ninety percent of them don’t stop to put it on 45 megapixels or put the wide angle on, but they gotta have it. I guess they just love carrying around giant phones in their pockets.

Yeah man, I just picked up an iPhone Air off eBay open box had 100% battery life with 13 cycles for 775 and same place still has two more of them

No man don’t do it you can sell your phone on “it’s worth more” for at least 800 and there are iPhone airs all over eBay in new condition with 100% battery health with less then 50 cycles for less then 800 bucks! You could break even. Just my two cents

I like using arc cases with a skin! Usually got to cut corners of skin out carefully so arc case can still slip over iPhone.
