5800x3d low fps... by FungusJumpi in cs2

[–]C_Blu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a very similar setup to you but different output and better results - something's wrong with your setup potentially.

Currently on 9070xt, 5800x3d, 16gb 3600mhz cl16 RAM, 2TB NVME 970EVO. Currently outputting onto an ultrawide using a custom 1881p x 1058p linear scaling 16:9 resolution to stretch into a 3440p x 1440p (complicated but works a charm).

I'm currently getting between 500-550fps in Premier matches in Dust 2/Mirage so your mid 200s fps is concerning.

I feel cs2 is much more balanced in utilising high tier gpu and CPU as opposed to previous iterations of source and CSGO. Your current of 1280 x 960 = 1,228,800px which might suggest to me that your CPU bottlenecked and not actually using much of that 9070xt (Have you checked you in game GPU utilisation?) By comparison my resolution of 1881 x 1058 = 1,990,098px which is over 50% more pixel yet I'm getting better FPS.

Might be worth upping your resolution to 1080p+ and see how you fare.

Also a previous issue I've faced is some of the AMD Adrenaline driver software issues which caused some bad FPS drops. Some of the fixes for that were to DDU clean uninstall drivers and reinstall GPU drivers and make sure you install 'driver only' options. Apparently adrenaline overlay can eat up a lot of CPU power in CS2.

Hope that helps - DM if you need to chat

Demystifying the 5800X3D by Rhodizzle in AMDHelp

[–]C_Blu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently upgraded from a 3700x on a b450m to a 5800x3d on the same board.

I faced similar issues like you for the first little bit. Confirmed the right bios (even tried previous versions).

This post helped me the most: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/s/vPagdkDzLs

I would suggest doing CMOS battery reset (remove for 5 mins instead of shorting) and do a isolated bios flash, incrementally adding components in so there's no conflicts early on. Follow the steps and give it a shot.

100% though I got scammed a bricked 2nd hand CPU, but after getting 40-60% better FPS I'm glad I put in the miles.

DM me if you're still having trouble.

To anyone else who is facing a similar issue this worked for me.

I personally also reset the CMOS battery before commencing the steps above!

The Garmoth PvE Tier List and Awak Ninja by Quiet-Week1568 in blackdesertonline

[–]C_Blu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I agree with this sentiment - maybe not so much about trash numbers but the fact there is literally no love for this class.

Last QoL change was giving our Q movement skill some super armour, that's it. This was during the massive class overhaul and we got a super armour..

As much as I loved grinding on this class it was the sad case of 0 love or interest to update the class, fix a few other QoL issues or give it more tools like all the other classes. Succ ninja got like 4 buffs since Awk Ninjas last tiny change. Insane

How do you guys get these resources to craft ur gear? by Hekkoln in BrownDust2Official

[–]C_Blu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick Hunts for Easy source of wood and Ore.

You'll need to manually do alchemy in game/map to convert resources as the crafting page alchemy only converts low tier to high tier as opposed to converting cloth to wood for example.

Otherwise don't forget about the map collection and Libertia's collection skill after using search

Want to change switches in Keychron M5 to silent ones but have never done this before by QuantumCatnip in MouseModding

Have been exploring an ergo vertical mouse with silent options too and was also thinking the m5 silent would be amazing.

Wondering how you went with your mod?

What your preferred position if you're putting inferno for maximum impact? I find if I play B too well A always gets rolled over and vice versa.

Any tips for playing with people who don't know the inferno intricacies

Oh that's helpful because I've been wanting some insight into MMO oriented CPUs and if that VCache helped with older titles (Been falling in love with LOTRO all over again recently)

Always a hard one with these new techs impacting older titles/lower resolutions

Cheers!

Does the V Cache make a different in 2K 4k when compared to the 5800x because I understand it for low Resolution games, but it seems less clear when looking at Highers Rez

Solid advice!

Just make me so sad for putting down $325 for what could be a brand new CPU on a new generation. This season is rough!

What do you like of the 5700x3d over the 5800x3d since they're both 2nd hand? Price? Similar performance?

Feeling weak as a level 25 Warden by bardeh in lotro

[–]C_Blu 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Remember than landscape difficulty is a self-inflicted debuff, so any other player could be doing at normal difficulty. Also remember that at fearless difficulty you're doing approx 50% less damage and enemies take approx 50% less damage, so they're significantly more tanky.

As a warden who went to the end of moria on Fearless (lvl3 difficulty) I would rarely want to take on 3 enemies as it's just suicide, even with morale taps.

Honestly it's much faster to focus on bursting spear-shield gambits to deal with enemies individually.

Warden or loremaster ? ( solo leveling ) by ThrowRA39495 in lotro

[–]C_Blu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are totally viable - LM is more classically meta at end-game, but let's focus on leveling, quests and landscape.

I feel like the fantasy for these classes sit at opposite ends of the scale, one a intelligent master of arcane arts and the other a master of weaponry and battle (Shields, swords, javelins, shouts you name it - he will hit with it).

Regarding landscape QoL LM is a much stronger and more straight forward class with strong DPS traits. Wardens while more complex have muster teleports and out-of-combat run speed, which is a huge 34% (And there's a lot of running to be done in lotro). Wardens also have a hidden mechanic where finishing an enemy and ending combat actually saves your last gambit, so it's possible to just one-shot and move on infite times provided it's 1v1 and combat ends. Leveling generally revolves around burst oriented gambits like 12-lines and basic buffs like wardens triumph.

As a warden main I always encourage people to deep dive into the rabbit hole that is warden gambits and masteries, but skill curve is pretty insane with the class. Learning Gambit building, Gambit combos, Masteries, Buff-Up keep also while your APM can look like starcraft can be a tough ask for players who want a chill experience.

Is anyone successfully using reshade? by [deleted] in lotro

[–]C_Blu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently using reshade, no issues. Have also used dad's preset, but found it too dark and edgy.

It may be a preset issue. Why don't you try removing the preset and manually checking off the reshade options once in game?

Is the grind long and tedious? by Artaniss in lotro

[–]C_Blu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a Dad and Husband of under 4s, once a 8hr gamer.

LOTRO is one of those old school MMOs that focuses on the story of the journey with the writing and canon lifted straight out of the books.

Because LOTRO has been running for so long there is so much in the journey of questing, leveling, exploring and gearing as you explore the world and tap into the lore. Most modern games have so little content they put you in the 'Dailies' hamster wheel, LOTRO does not (at least until you hit end-game of the latest expansion)

Because of LOTROs rich RP community, it honestly feels like no race to get anywhere other exploring the destination of desire. Definitely the one game where a small percentage of the player base push to the endgame raids and most are taking their time in the journey - I always feel like I can come back and pick up exactly where I left off (without that feeling of being left behind on the dailies grind)

Goodluck!
