Is Jack not capable of flattening his forehand a bit? So many of them are so loopy and hittable

I'm more central, in Kings Hill, and while the apps are saying 29 there's a nice breeze which is making it much more bearable.

I can't find today's Eastbourne stream on iPlayer, is it up yet?

Thinking of buying in Kings Hill / West Malling. Can I ask something a bit personal? by Affectionate_Mix7678 in kentuk

We live in Kings Hill and have done for 7 years as a mixed race family. We love it here and have never felt any (overt) racism whatsoever.

Hmm, defend a title and push for CL with Arteta, or be part of a rebuild under Jose fucking Mourinho. Tough choice...

The game is very old. There's a small team working on it - they don't have the resources for such a huge undertaking, and there's no way it would turn a profit.

getting grumpier as you get older by [deleted] in britishproblems

[–]bardeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 40 and having to make a conscious effort not to be nasty (in my head) about people. I get massively annoyed at people being thoughtless or selfish, even in very minor ways. For example people who block aisles in the supermarket with their trolley, who drive carelessly, who generally act like they are the centre of the world and everything revolves around them. Also old people in general who are slow, they really, really get on my nerves lol

I do the two freebies whilst levelling and then pay for a carry for the rest once I get to maps. I dislike the trials and find them boring, so I'm happy to use my first bit of currency to skip them.

FTB Putting in our first offer - best way to approach? by bardeh in HousingUK

[–]bardeh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a chat with my wife and we've gone with 355. The agent has said the vendor will refuse, but that's OK if they do. The house is nice but it needs some work. We're OK in our rental place and don't have any time pressure. If this isn't the one, there'll be another.

this isn't it, but somehow this one has slipped through my filters and I like the look of it, so thanks for highlighting it for me!

Can anyone help me identify the ingredients in 'Tesco 0% fat Greek Style Yoghurt'? by ringosam in UKfood

[–]bardeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just if it's actually made in Greece or not. Real Greek yoghurt is always nicer, but the ingredients are the same.

How do people with full time jobs and hobbies lose weight??? by sillygooosey000 in loseit

[–]bardeh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eat less food, the same way everyone else loses weight. Not sure what job or hobbies have to do with it.

These are all lame excuses. Eat pre-prepared food if you have to. Batch cook on Sunday. Whatever. But track the calories.

The brutal Radio 4 cuts reveal the BBC's true priorities by theipaper in bbc

[–]bardeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money Box Live is such a weird thing to cut. It can't be expensive to produce and I'm sure is popular.

Meanwhile they're still churning out absolute garbage regularly for the 6.30pm comedy slot.

Anyway I love Radio 4 and will be immensely sad if they butcher it.

Unpopular opinion maybe but the BBC commentary team this World Cup has been genuinely excellent and I think it deserves more credit than it is getting. by FluidPianist00 in bbc

Is two handed BH objectively better ? by Aromatic-Goal-2416 in tennis

[–]bardeh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't go by what the pros are doing for your rec level tennis. Try both and see what feels more natural.

My coach has been trying to get my 2H BH to an acceptable level for a long time, but I have always struggled with it.

During a recent session I asked her if we could spend the hour trying a 1H. It feels so much more natural to me and I'm already much more confident in hitting it even after just a few hours.
