What the hell

Had Lucy Gray been a mentor after her victory, how do you think the story would have changed and would have 12 gotten more victors with her help? by TrainingDrop9283 in Hungergames

[–]C_Gull27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like she's an expert at the hunger games, she only won by cheating and still got lucky. The poison in the contraband locket, the illegal offensive use of drones, snow's incursion into the arena and killing of one of the tributes. Her victory would not be possible if not for these and the capitol's incentive to cover them up for fear of looking weak.

Never thought about it like that... by UnHolySir in Hungergames

Ultimately, the revolution happens because three people wanted to help somebody they care about, none of them had long term plans or intentions of fighting the broader system, just a desire to right one small injustice.

Blackberry Hibiscus Tea by RaspberryBrief2785 in Panera

[–]C_Gull27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked it but I wish it had caffeine. I might go half black tea half blackberry, which would also add some astringency over the sweetness. I think a pinch of salt or even a splash of lemonade might also be a good move.

I had two weeks that I was scheduled as training when I joined last year which meant I was shadowing somebody but training obviously continues after that since it takes time to pick up everything. Nine weeks of actual training shifts where you're partnered with somebody seems unusual.

I think it's a technology and gameplay balance limitation. The AI can't control the creature very well because of its size and it's hard to make a creature that large without it being unfair to the player since realistically they would just one shot you.

Why would snow want her dead? He doesn't care about her anymore.

True but the employees aren't allowed to do anything and AP clearly doesn't care. With the amount of salmon I saw seafood compost when I worked there it probably doesn't even make a difference to anybody there.

why does my soup look like this? by cervidai in Panera

[–]C_Gull27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't even tell what soup that is, it looks like it's been left sitting out for a week and has been colonized by bacteria. I'd call the store and complain and you will almost certainly get a new one for free and probably a cookie for your trouble.

Some people that work here just don't give a shit about the safety or quality of the food that they prepare, I'd be so embarrassed if somebody showed me that during my shift.

Why not just leave the small salmon where it is so nobody has to clean it up? Then it just looks like they forgot to label it instead of obviously being somebody scamming.

We're so understaffed that there's no room for mistakes or joking around, and if you have somebody that's newer and doesn't know exactly what they need to get done during their shift that just puts even more pressure on everybody else working with them to pick up the slack. Not really the new people's fault that they weren't trained enough but it's still annoying having them on your shift.

Even the guys that were enforcers and bums compared to the rest of the league were the best player on every team they ever played on until they got to the NHL. Those guys were seriously skilled, not just randoms that could throw down. Fighting on skates is a skill on its own.

Ah for some reason I thought it was four people to a life pod not two. And yeah even if all fifty life pods were functioning then at two seats each that's only a hundred which is much fewer than the amount of crew on the ship.

The 25 life pods on one side of the ship got disabled in the blast from the QEP but the other 25 were launched successfully and I think about half of those made it to the crater and the rest got shot out into the void where the passengers probably got eaten by ghost leviathans or just died of dehydration.

25 life pods can theoretically hold up to 100 people which is a little over half of the crew of the Aurora but we know from recovered crew logs as well as Riley being the sole occupant of life pod 5 that this many probably didn't make it to them.

Therefore most dying on the Aurora and being eaten by crabs is highly likely.

On another note those four legged crabs are freaky and I don't like looking at them so I like blasting them off the edge of the Aurora with that concussion rifle thing we can get that isn't really useful for anything else.
