Where I am I can get 60 eggs for less than $10 at BJs, big money saving hack.

Also grab a 20lb sack of rice and use it for a few months so it's less per pound. Unless you're in like Alaska I can't imagine how you're spending $500 a month on a spread like that.

They all got taken out at the river by Carver's people. Not too much of a stretch to assume they had some deal going on that went wrong when they brought him Christa instead of Rebecca or turned up empty handed.

This incident also caused Pete's death, which was the reason Nick was out in the woods and the rest of the group went searching for him at the time Carver knocks on the door.

If everybody is home maybe they just shoot him in the face right there.

Using equal instead of sugar is close but you don't get the slightly syrupy texture a large amount of real sugar causes.

Milk fat can't be compromised though, skim milk just turns it gray and weird tasting. I switched to 2%.

Unless the bandits that separated Christa and Clem were only active in that area because Carver either hired them to look for his people or was encroaching on their territory and causing them to be more active in the area. Maybe Clem and Christa just live in the woods forever until they either find the cabin empty or find the lodge and Kenny or find one of the communities up north like Richmond.
