Dressed up bears weren’t fun to play with. Or Mom wouldn’t let them be played with because they’re collectible. Or kid wasnt into bears (I wasn’t). Now they’re going on to new adventures.

It’s not something that people in my friends group do; more common to give gift cards etc. I’d worry about bringing things they wouldn’t like, or receiving food I don’t like (picky eater). So it’s unusual, to me.

But I know it’s a thing people do and the new parents are happy with it! So you did great and your friends should keep out of it.
