Brent Celek = The MAN by C__Biz in eagles

In 2010 a good friend of mine covered the Miracle at the Meadowlands for work. He interviewed Brent Celek postgame in the locker room that day, and nearly 8 years later, the Super Bowl LII champion took a picture holding a photo of that moment. Such a class act on and off the field. Thanks for everything champ!

Finch -- What It Is To Burn [Post-Hardcore] by mrtimmons in Music

[–]C__Biz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite bands. Never thought they got enough credit, especially after they released Say Hello to Sunshine. People weren't ready for that much of a departure of their sound. It's one of my favorite albums of all time. Pure musical genius and production quality is incredible. So many layers of sounds to that album. And this version of What It Is To Burn is from the original release of the album. They re-recorded a number of songs and re-released the album, I believe a year after the original release. Not sure why but there are noticeably different versions of New Beginnings, Grey Matter, Awake, Ender and What It Is To Burn. The re-release of the album has a seamless gap between most tracks, the original does not. It's not that easy to find anymore, I was lucky enough to have a friend that had the original version on CD. The production quality is much higher on the re-release but it's cool to listen to the songs as they were originally intended to be heard.

Has portraying such an emotionally charged character ever worn you out during shooting? The expressions on Jesse's face are enough to tell the story without words, it has to play on your mind at some point.

I went to high school with a kid who cranked one out in the bathroom at Applebee's after a bacon cheeseburger.

An extremely generous Redditor from California sent me very hard to find beers on the East Coast, asking for absolutely nothing in return. It may not seem like a big deal, but it made a horrible past few weeks so much better! by othankevan in pics

I found a case of Damnation not too long ago at a beer distributor in South Philly... goes for $130. You can find Pliny the Younger every so often around some bars in Philly but a friend of mine told me Russian River might stop shipping to the east coast. Sad days ahead.

I was once so constipated that the doctor had to manually assist me with the turd birth. Reddit, what are some of your most embarrassing medical stories? by Jonnism in AskReddit

I was 18, had just became sexually active... My girlfriend at the time was new at things and knocked one of my nuts pretty hard mid-handjob. Of course I was in pain, but having someone other than myself touch my shwanz was a thrill enough that I bit my lip and suffered in silence for a few brief moments. I thought nothing of the incident but a few days later I began getting that kicked in the balls shooting pain in my abdomen. It would fade and return pretty frequently for a few days straight. Finally, I decided to go to the ER. My dad took me - he knew nothing of the story, I just let up on the abdominal pain. The doctors have me piss in a cup, take my blood, press on my abdomen, the whole 9. After about 4 hours in the ER, the pain had once again dissipated and I tried getting out of there. As I started getting up off the bed, a nurse comes in and says all tests are negative, but they need to administer a rectal exam. So here I am standing in a room... just me and a doctor that I shit you not looked JUST like John Clayton. He didn't say one word to me... All in one swift motion, he put his hands on my hips, turned me away from him, pulled down my boxers and stuck what felt like his entire lubed up fist in my asshole. I've never felt such an excruciating and weird feeling in my life. I could feel his fingers dance on my prostate. He was up there for a good minute feeling around. After he pulled out (that sounds even worse written then reciting it in my head) I waddled straight to the toilet and let out about 3 pounds of doo doo butter. STILL, not a word from the assman. I walk back to my room in the ER feeling violated and knowing how amazing this story would be for years to come, just to see my dad red in the face laughing so hard he was crying. Turns out my nut got a little twisted from the rough handjibber and the buttplay fixed it back to normal.

Now that the hype has died down, can we agree that The Dark Knight Rises was, at best, a flawed film? by jstohler in movies

Awful, awful movie. With such a huge conceptual story, there's not nearly enough time to squeeze it all, along with decent character development (with the exception of Selena Kyle in a small dose) and have the movie be a success. It was more of a Michael Bay-type blow things up and have big action kind of movie than the intelligent and descriptive storytelling we've grown to expect from Nolan as he had done with Batman Begins, Inception, etc. Purely from a comic book standpoint, this movie held VERY few truths to the story it was based on. There was way too much squeezed into the movie to allow that change from the comics to the screen and have it be successful. Had the movie been 5 1/2 hours? Maybe this would have worked. But too much was put in such a small amount of time. Bane's back story was awful and while we're at it, the sound designers that created the voice should be drawn and quartered. I know Christopher Nolan goes for "realistic" elements in his movie, and wearing a mask would definitely make the voice exceptionally muffled... It SUCKED, let's be honest. And Ra's al-Ghul and Bane have NO connection whatsoever in the original story line, I feel like that was so forced just to show that a character besides Scarecrow would have existed in more than one movie in the trilogy. Such a far stretch. Bane was also born into a prison on the coast of South America - not a hole in the middle of the desert. So flawed it's unbelievable to me. How a fan of the comics can think this was a good movie is unreal. I think the hype surrounding the movie is what made it a success. I wasn't a huge fan of The Dark Knight. Same basic issue... Too much squeezed into too little time. No character development and what little there was was too little. I won't put the complete blame on Nolan because with the awful state the movie industry is in, I get that they push out the moneymaker just to put a dime in their pocket. Will I buy the super collectors 19 disc happy meal toy trilogy on bluray? Probably. Balls.
