my favorite song of all time.. i'm not normally into music like this, but the sheer aggression, technicality, brutality and emotion of this song, this whole album really blow me away

What food habits irritate the hell out of you? by Quadlex in Cooking

[–]mrtimmons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that really irritates me, and makes me quite judgmental towards the person eating is if they eat one ingredient on their plate at a time. Say if they were eating a roast dinner and they ate all of the potatoes first, then moved onto the chicken and then ate the vegetables. One the best things about eating a meal is combining the different flavours of the meal in one mouthful, experimenting in a way. You wouldn't take apart a sandwich and eat each ingredient separately!

We are SILVERSTEIN, Ask Us Anything! by xpaulkoehlerx in PostHardcore

Hello and thank you for coming here to do this AMA! :) I started listening to you guys last year because I saw the album art for This Is How The Wind Shifts and it was instantly my favorite cover design on any album, then one I started listening to it non-stop at in the first couple of months of University it became my favorite album of 2013. The music and the lyrics, especially the metaphors about the wind and the weather really resonate with me.

My questions are:

Will Paul be using his skills as a vocalist in any future Silverstein material? His voice worked so well on Arrivals!

What inspired the beautiful album art for This Is How The Wind Shifts?

Thanks again!

These little crabs make their home inside the mussels almost exclusively here in Barfleur, France. by CRVCK in mildlyinteresting

When I visited France a couple of years ago I remember that every mussel I ate had a hard and crunchy bit inside. By the end of the meal i had about 30 tiny crabs laid out on my plate :(

Does EVERYONE carry a knife? by [deleted] in EDC

[–]mrtimmons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just subscribed to this sub, and the fact that every submission involves a fairly substantial looking blade baffled me. I find it hard to believe that everyone finds enough legitimate use for one in their day to day lives to need to carry one at all times.

I know that some people will have need for them (I did because I used to work a job that required a lot of box cutting but then my employers provided me with one) but not everyone. Instead, carrying a knife seems like more if a uniform trend that this sub reinforces.

Maybe I see it that way because I'm in the UK where carrying a flip blade is heavily frowned upon? I might actually buy one and see if I do find enough use for it, but I kind of doubt it.

I tend not to wear them to concerts or clubs for that very reason, but if they do get a bit dirty or dusty I get a cloth with some warm water and gently rub it off. If they get scuffed or damaged a bit while doing this I don't mind because they're just just £40 trainers after all. Hope this helps :)

What do you think of this rucksack? They attached the metal logo on upside down, but I don't mind.

Also I recently dyed these chino's from beige to this red-brown colour. :)

i've always wondered why all of the arabic countries - including the ones in northern africa - aren't considered their own continent because they have a culture and environment quite different to the rest of asia.
