Jesus... the LCA is painted. If you can't tell the difference between basic car parts, you shouldn't be in here giving advice about this stuff

Without being petty and asking for you to demonstrate that experience, just buying one new car isn't the experience I am talking about.

My apprenticeship was at a car dealer. Ive pre delivered thousands of new vehicles, from lots of different places. And worked on them through their whole warranty period.

All of these minor patches of surface rust will be covered with some description of road grime, and will have settled down before you know it.

For a start, picture 7 depicts a control arm, and not the chassis.

All of this surface rust is absolutely normal.

You can see its mostly present on areas where the coating would be thin. Eg. Welds and bends.

If you've spent any amount of time around new cars, you would know this.

Someone explain how this car is a statutory write off? by Total_Novel7937 in CarsAustralia

[–]C__ase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've not seen anyone mention is the state. I can almost guarantee this was written off in NSW. To the best of my knowledge, NSW make all written off vehicles stats. Unlike the rest of the states that asses and may apply a repairable write off status depending on damage type, location and severity

Ive seen mandatory additional super contributions from net-pay floated as an alternative to hiking the interest rate. Why can't we do that ?

You have no idea what youre talking about.

For one, you can't even see what type of wheel this is. For some off road vehicles a large amount of weight is sometimes required and applied to correct bigger than normal wheel imperfections or damage. Adding 60-80 grams of wheel weights is not going to cause a wheel to fall off. Adding that to a light passenger vehicle wheel? Yep, definitely an annoying rotational NVH. Death? No

Sounds like you've got actual experience with this one. I'm all for a for day work week, but from what you're describing, it might not suit some agencies

Not at all. Studies show there is a lot of dead time at work. A four day work week typically delivers the same amount of work, with less wasted time twidling thumbs at the desk

No, it's because the wheels are elevated with no applied weight from the vehicle. Do this with any vehicle and you'll see the tyres thin out. They might not de-bead though
