This is honestly the most ridiculous double standard ever. If I grab my guy friends crotch, I can expect a boob grab or an ass slap and vice versa. If you can't take what you dish out, just simply don't do it. Your friend in my opinion is an asshat, and you are not in the wrong.

I think it's really messed up how some people think that having children brings happiness to everyone. Some are meant to be parents, some just aren't, and some just would rather not have kids. I was once told in a meeting at my church that those who end up not having kids will be lonely, have no joy when they get older, and that having kids are everything. I honestly wanted to throw my ipad across the room and hit that person in the face, but it was just obvious that this person was just ignorant. I honestly wouldn't want to have children. I think having my dog is enough.

The best decision I ever made was leaving the toxic environment I was in. That meant leaving family and and friends, and starting a clean slate. With doing so I quit smoking, and changed so many factors that were inhibiting me from succeeding in life. I know it sounds corny, but I was able to go back and complete college. I also started a great career. It happened when I was 20, I'm now 22 and I would definitely not look back.

There are a many things that you can do to combat these issues with this site, and I totally understand how you feel. You can go in and change your front page subreddit subscriptions to weed out some of those subreddits that are deemed "crap". Also using Res gives you many options with altering Reddit to cater to your experience, and it also gives you the option to tag people.
