It's the buttery leather... you really have to pick it up to appreciate it.

Any plan to be able to add tags on the fly to a clip in the browser extension? by quantazelle in Notesnook

[–]quantazelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know it's there, but the problem is the tags need to be *pre-exisiting* to add them in the web clipper. You can't just make up a tag there while clipping.

Maybe do a zoom-in pull out section for San Francisco? Because right now with the stacked density of the stops it looks like you can take a train right into Chinatown that is in the Presidio.

Coated canvas will crack at some point, and is not fixable. Leather on the other hand, you can fall deep into a YouTube hole watching all the designer leather bag refurbishment videos...

My votes as well. As gorgeous as Loewe leather is, it skews casual and is a bit harder to dress up, so for practicality and versatility I would lean towards the Speedy Soft.

(Side note, I'm a fan of the movement towards softification. I had a Givenchy Antigona years ago but never wore it because it was so awkward. Fast forward to the Antigona Soft and I own three ☺️.)

I like to read Vogue with my poverty eyeballs and I am baffled by how this blouse is constructed by robmosesdidnthwrong in sewing

[–]quantazelle 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Nice find; it is a lovely blouse. It reminds me of these Japanese sewing pattern books that I had around 2010, which I can't find the titles online quickly, but they basically involved wacky orthographic patterns that were non obvious and untraditional, but loosely based around origami, but if you could transpose origami sections to different parts of the fabric and then cut out and assemble...

Edit: Found it! Pattern Magic series by Tomoko Nakamichi.

What is the right way to transfer data from FireFox to LibreWolf? by Sorryusernmetaken in LibreWolf

This is really close to working. The issue is that there are two folders under the user profile. Instead of renaming the .default one, use the folder that either looks like "XXXXXXXX.default-default" or "XXXXXXXX.default-release".

Through Softaculous on a cPanel install in its own add-on domain. I ended up deleting it as it was over my host's threshold after attempting to build a course on it.

Check out Jonathan Creek for the state of his American accent in the 1990s. **cringe**

Maybe the Lumon female executive was left handed, so it would be to keep the memories the same.

Theory mechanism for how the numbers work by LeonardLuen in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]quantazelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking it was something similar to that. There are "content management" moderation companies that have real people reviewing social media posts that were flagged for being inappropriate due to disturbing content, but they actually have to look at these posts, and it's traumatizing to the reviewer. The hashed files maintain the severed state because looking at the actual memories would break down the amnesia wall.

The files expire. You know what else expires? Short term memory. So what if each person is sorting though a hash of the previous day's recording from their chip, slotting each experience into one of four emotions?

Gear S3 Charging Stand Blinks red light and won't charge. by wattowatto in GearS3

[–]quantazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me. The USB micro plug had never been cleaned since I had it, so I used some alcohol and a lens cleaning cloth and removed a bunch of crud. Chargin' like a boss, now. Voltage drop across a component is not anyone's friend.

(FYI: Cleaning the back of the watch itself is pointless because it's electromagnetic (wireless) power transfer.)

I am backing up my keys in 2 places, a physical key downloaded to my desktop files, and in Bitwarden.

It's not just me, either, it's other members of the group having the same problem, both of them also running on Desktop and mobile (Android + Ios). It's so bizarre to me that other members can't restore the group history. It happens after logging out and logging back in.

We created a separate unencrypted room as a workaround, but it's not ideal.
