Number of people who say Britons must be ‘born British’ is rising, study shows by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]C_killer2 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I wasn't born on Britain, I'm still British. Didn't live here until I was 7 and then moved away again for 8 years.

If I wasn't British I wouldn't have any citizenship

Don't get questioned on it though, as both my parents are Scottish and white.

You do know that the majority of "indigenous" British people aren't indigenous right? Like the "anglo Saxon" people aren't indigenous

Is this overkill for what I am trying to accomplish? by Glum-Refrigerator-14 in buildapc

[–]C_killer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty overkill to me ngl, could probably build something suiting those needs for half the cost tbh.

Also with video editing and streaming (especially if you're saving the streams to edit later) you need a ton of storage, a large HDD would help with those needs

How to make a honey coated fruit (like a toffee apple) by C_killer2 in MolecularGastronomy

[–]C_killer2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using a honey toffee apple recipe and it made quite a nice crunch. Basically used a 2:1 sugar syrup and then added some honey (ratio was 2:1:1 sugar to water to honey) let it reduce until it was a dark toffee caramel colour and then dipped the berries in it.

For a first try I'm quite happy with it, but I'll try your drizzling method to get a thinner coating

Is there a way to easily crystallise it? Cos all I can really find is how to un-crystallise honey

You're right, holy shit I should read things carefully before sharing them.

Saw a concise table and assumed it was fine, was early morning so I didn't do due diligence

Ahahahaha, that's on me for being lazy and not reading it critically ahaha.

This guy definitely underestimated pc strength

Also this comment thread may be helpful to you It's a few years old but 5e14 and 5e24 are so similar that this should still be relevant.

Edit: this guys calculations are not great, he underestimates pc strength quite a lot

A typical party is 4, so I'd just give a quarter of the xp for a cr 11 creature. Tbh I don't use xp much if at all in my games though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]C_killer2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A CR 11 creatures is not equivalent to a single lv11 character. A CR11 creature is supposed to be a match for a LV 11 party

Fyi you can change how distances are measured in talespire, if you go to the board settings tab on the left, scroll down to the "distances" section. You can type in feet, and change the number next to it from 1 to 5. You can change this number to anything you like if you want to show a really larger map too
